Nathaniel Buzolic is an actor who began his acting career at 19, guest-starring in the television series Home and Away in 2002. Buzolic also made a guest appearance in the television series All Saints in 2003 before scoring a recurring role as Paul O’Donnell on the soap opera Out of the Blue in 2008. 

Buzolic initially rose to fame after portraying the role of Kol Mikaelson in The CW supernatural teen drama television series The Vampire Diaries. Buzolic appeared in 10 episodes of the series between 2012 and 2014. 

He reprised the role of Kol Mikaelson in the television miniseries The Originals: Awakening in 2014 and the television series The Originals between 2013 and 2018.

In 2014, Buzolic was cast in the leading role as David Hayden in The CW planted Supernatural spinoff, Supernatural: Bloodlines (originally titled Supernatural: Tribes), which aired as a backdoor pilot on 29 April 2014. However, the network didn’t order the show to series after the pilot episode couldn’t receive positive feedback from the audience and critics. 

Later, in 2016, Buzolic worked with Oscar-winning director Mel Gibson in the biographical war drama film Hacksaw Ridge, portraying the role of Harold ‘Hal’ Doss.

In addition to acting, Buzolic hosted the afternoon kid’s show Studio Disney on Disney Channel in 2005, followed by the quiz show The Mint in 2007. He also appeared in the short films Road Rage and My Greatest Day Ever in 2007.

Buzolic is also an entrepreneur. He owns a company named Palm Sundays Co, which offers apparel, jewelry, bags, beanies, caps, and bible stickers inspired by The gospel. He also posts his blogs on the official website of his company.

Buzolic also has a sizeable fan following on social media, with over 2.8 million followers on Instagram as of 2021. He usually shares his love for traveling, photography, and faith in Christianity through his Instagram posts.

He is his family’s first-generation Australian, as his parents are from Germany and Croatia. He is a Screenwise Film & TV School for Actors graduate from Sydney, Australia.

‘Pretty Little Liars (PLL)’

Buzolic appeared in a recurring role in four episodes of PLL in 2014 and 2015. He portrayed the role of Dean Stavros, a former drug addict who worked with Spencer, to help her deal with her addiction.

PLL is a romantic mystery-thriller television series. The series chronicles the lives of four girls, Spencer Hastings (played by Troian Bellisario), Hanna Marin (played by Ashley Benson), Aria Montgomery (played by Lucy Hale), and Emily Fields (played by Shay Mitchell). 

Their band falls apart following the disappearance of their leader, Alison DiLaurentis (played by Sasha Pieterse). The quartet reunites a year later to fight against an anonymous foe who threatens to reveal their deepest secrets. The series premiered on 8 June 2010 and ran for seven seasons.

Danielle Campbell and Nathaniel Buzolic, who co-starred on The Originals as an on-screen couple, became a real-life couple in 2017.

In an interview with Collider in June 2017, Buzolic shared that he had a very comfortable experience co-working with Campbell on The Originals. He said, “She’s just so easy to kiss! I do fan conventions, and people always ask me what the best part of my job is, and I’m like, “Well, kissing ‘Danielle Campbell (III)’ is not that difficult. But no, she’s so great to work with. We have so much fun together on set. I think she’s just such a fun actress to be on set with. We always have a lot of laughs. I think we’ve been able to create some really sweet moments for these two characters on screen.”

The couple also went on a trip together to the City of Hvar, located on the Croatian island of Hvar. However, the two weren’t spotted together after the vacation.

As of 2021, it is unknown whether Buzolic is dating anyone or single as he keeps his private life.
