Naomi Olindo is known as a cast of the reality TV series Southern Charm and the co-founder of L’Abeye.

Who is Naomi Olindo?

Olindo was born and raised in France. She came to America for further education, after which she enrolled at the College of Charleston, South Carolina.

There she met Craig Conover, with whom she started dating after graduating college. Then, in 2015 she appeared as his girlfriend on the third season of Bravo Tv’s reality show Southern Charm. Her presence continued as she moved in with the clothing brand Sewing Down South founder Conover in season four of the show in 2016.

However, she broke up with Conover in 2017 and started dating doctor Metul Shah in 2018. She also co-founded a Charleston-based clothing brand L’Abeye in 2018.

Then, in 2020 she left the show and moved to New York City after getting a medical fellowship. But there, she also found out that Shah was cheating on her. So after that, she broke up with Shah and moved back to Charleston.

Early life and Education

Olindo was born on 4 August 1992 in France. She was born to French natives’ father Joel Olindo and mother, Carol Olindo.

Later, she moved to the United States of America for further education and joined the College of Charleston, South Carolina. Then in 2016, she completed her Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) and enrolled for a Master’s degree in Business Administration at Charleston itself.

Bravo TV’s ‘Southern Charm’

Olindo first appeared on season 3 of Bravo Tv’s reality show Southern Charm in 2016.

The show is portrayed as the life stories of Charleston’s elite family from the realm of exclusiveness, money, and controversy that dates back from centuries of families. The show began in 2014 and largely centers around Kathryn Dennis, Austen Kroll, Craig Conover, Shep Rose, Leva Bonaparte, Madison LeCroy, and John Pringle.

While joining the show in the beginning, Olindo appeared as the girlfriend of Craig Conover, and she was only a recurring cast of the show.

However, she dedicated her will to end her unstable relationship with Conover in 2018. 

Olindo talked about her loss after breaking up with Conover, “I think it was just a culmination of things that at the end of it, we were just two very different people that couldn’t get along. It was sad because we did care about each other.”

Shortly after that, she started dating an anesthesiologist, Metul Shah. And in 2019, she was scheduled as a full-time cast from the sixth season of the show.

Subsequently, in late 2019, Shah received a fellowship from the Weill Cornell Medical College, New York. After that, Olindo chose to leave Charleston and move to New York.

Olindo formally made her exit from Southern Charm in July of 2020. She then made a heartfelt appreciation towards the show and her co-stars. 

“I’m so thankful for what the show gave me because it does open a lot of doors and there are a lot of advantages. Then it comes a time when the good doesn’t outweigh the bad anymore where it’s time to walk away.”

L’Abeye

In 2018, Olindo co-founded a clothing brand in Charleston. She partnered the brand with her close friend Ginny Cox.

Shortly after she left the show in 2019, she broke up with Shah and disclosed that he cheated on her. 

At the time, her fans were supporting her through her on social media and visiting her brand, Shoplabeye’s website.

In July of 2021, she showed her gratefulness to her fans for showering her love through an Instagram post. She captioned, “Not y’all almost crashing the @shoplabeye site because my life is in shambles. I LOVE YOU people so much. Thank you for supporting me.”

Relationship with Conover

Olindo and Conover first met at College of Charleston when she was still in sophomore year, and he was a senior. They were good friends in the beginning and were in the same friend’s circle.

After Olindo graduated college, she later met him at Charleston Fashion Week. Eventually, they started dating. Then, they both appeared together in the first episode of the third season of Southern Charm when Conover introduced Olindo to his friends as his girlfriend.

They later moved in together in season 4 of the show and even thought about marriage, but their relationship went downhill. They even took couple’s therapy to mend their relationship; however, in September of 2017, they decided to part ways.

Olindo and Conover remained on good terms after that.

Weight loss and Plastic Surgery

After Olindo’s split with Conover, Osheo went through a weight loss journey and adopted intermittent fasting. She wanted to become healthier and also did not want to restrict her food, so she chose to fast from 8 pm to 12 noon.

Other than that, in 2018, Olindo also made medical changes to her facial appearance. First, in early 2018, she got a nose job (rhinoplasty) done to get a more appealing shape of her nose. Then in late 2019, she got Botox and fillers to change her jaw shape.

Father’ Death

In December of 2019, Olindo lost her father, Joel, to esophageal cancer. She later made an Instagram post on her dreaded loss and gave her regards to others who have been battling the same type of cancer.

She wrote, “If someone you love is fighting this horrible disease, please know my heart is with you and it truly aches for you.” She added, “There aren’t really words for this pain but I’m very thankful for the kindness and love our friends and family have shown my mom and me during the most difficult time of our life. A wake will be held in Joel’s honor on Saturday 1/4 at Nico from 11-1. If he impacted your life in a tiny way or in a big way, we would love to see you there to celebrate my dad, the most amazing person I have ever known.”

Soon after that, on 4 Jan 2020, she organized a formal gathering on the remembrance of her father. She invited her loved ones, who her amazing father had influenced.

Later, Olindo posted a picture montage of her cat Gizmo, who passed away in May of 2021. She captioned that her 18-year-old cat passed away to be with her father in heaven. She also recounted her moments with Gizmo, who she says made her a strong and responsible person.

Relationship with Metul Shah

After Olindo’s split with Conover, she began dating Metul Shah. He appeared with her in certain episodes of the Southern Charm. Eventually, they broke up in 2021 when Olindo found that he was cheating on her since 2020.

Previously, she had moved with him to New York City when he was accepted for a fellowship in 2020. But she eventually moved back to Charleston after she found out that he betrayed her
