Mindy Shiben is a former US Air Force personnel and a reality television star. She rose to nationwide popularity as the cast of Married At First Sight, a TV reality show on Lifetime.

Who is Mindy Shiben?

Mindy Shiben is an American TV personality. She gained media attention as the cast member of the reality series Married At First Sight. She appeared in season 10 of the show, which aired its first episode on A&E's Lifetime channel on 1 January 2020.

Before beginning her TV career, Shiben served the US Air Force for several years. She initially desired to move up the force's ranks and give back her country positive things. However, things didn't exactly work out, and she quit her job.

After quitting the Air Force job, Shiben began to work as a figure skating coach. She is a well-trained figure skater herself and thus became a perfect fit for her new job.

Besides her regular job and TV shows, she owns a self-titled YouTube channel. She started the channel in January 2012; however, it remains inactive and only has two videos uploaded. 

Moreover, her increased fame from her TV appearance has helped her gain a massive fan following on Instagram. As of March 2022, approximately 92k people follow her on her Instagram handle @mindy_shiben.

Age and Birthday

Mindy Shiben has not disclosed her birth date, childhood, and early life to the public. However, Realitv with Bee cited her age as 34 years in January 2020. Thus, she was born in 1985 in Washington DC, USA.

Is She Married?

In season 10 of the reality series Married At First Sight, Shiben got ready to walk down the aisle with a stranger. She matched alongside her partner Zach Justice in the show. Initially, the pair looked like a perfect match and started their married life on a promising note. However, things speedily went south when they went to Panama for their honeymoon.

Reportedly, Zach spoke about not being physically attracted to her. However, later, Shiben discovered Zach had very poor communication skills, so the rift continued until the end of the season. 

Moreover, she decided to finally call their relationship a quit after discovering that Zach was also involved with her friend Lindsay. She publicly called for a divorce two days before the decision day via an Instagram post and mentioned him being inappropriate with Lindsay.

On the other hand, Zach replied to these allegations and called her a liar. He also accused that she was drunk while posting false claims on Instagram.

Where is Mindy Shiben Now?

After getting divorced from her husband, Zach, Shiben packed her things up and relocated to Mexico. She decided on giving her life a fresh start in a new country where nobody recognizes her as a TV personality. Moreover, she started working as an English language instructor in Mexico.

As per March 2021 reports from Screenrant, she had no intentions of moving back to the USA until June 2021. However, after that, she has not made any public announcement about where she is today. 

Family

Although Shiben has not disclosed details of her parents, she had a younger sister named Brittany. Sadly, her Brittany passed away in April 2018 due to a drug overdose after fighting a long fierce battle with drug addiction. Shiben shared the saddening news via an Instagram post on 3 April 2018. She wrote,

"I am deeply saddened to say that my younger sister, Brittany Shiben, got her angel wings on Saturday after fighting a long hard battle with addiction. While we are all grieving this terrible loss, we'll never forget her free-spirited nature, hilarious sense of humor, tremendous artist talents, and beautiful soul. Brit's passing reminds us of how precious life is."

Even after her sister's demise, Shiben regularly posts pictures of her sister on her Instagram handle.
