Milan Christopher | Biography

Launched his first studio album, 'The Alpha' in 2016

Christopher is one of the first artists of color to represent the LGBT community on the VH1 reality series 'Love & Hip Hop.' At the time, he was dating rapper and actor Miles Brock for two years. Miles comes out throughout the season, which puts Milan at odds with Miles' ex-girlfriend, Amber Laura. The pair also had a dramatic breakup on stage at the season's reunion special, with Milan accusing Miles of cheating on him.

Milan Christopher is a Chicago-born American actor and hip-hop artist. His worldwide fame is mostly from his appearance in the VH1 reality series Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.

Who is Milan Christopher?

Milan Christopher is an openly gay singer/rapper, actor, and model. He holds acting, directing, writing, and producing credits in several American TV series and movies. Moreover, he is a multi-dimensional personality in the field of filmmaking.

Christopher began his acting career with a minor role of Travis in the 2008 comedy-drama film Friends & Lovers: The Ski Trip 2. The role followed his appearances in short movies like 116 Seconds (2009), Limikkin Ranch (2009), Strive (2011), etc.

In 2015, Christopher rose to prominence after joining season two of the VH1 show Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, which followed his tribulations as a gay rapper in the homophobic hip hop business. He also appeared on the cover of the Los Angeles Times and on the nationally syndicated Wendy Williams Show in 2016 because of his role.

His other notable acting works include roles like Duke in Sugar Valentine 2 (2011 film), Dorian in Chocolate City (2013 film). Christopher has also directed, produced, and acted in movies like Dark Claw (2012) and Ragneron (2019).

Besides acting, Christopher is a hip-hop music artist. One of his first music gigs includes his work with Beyonce in her 2013 music video ‘Haunted.’ Shortly after, he released his debut single ‘Burning Up’ under Konvicts Music Label’s record label.

In 2016, he launched his first studio album, The Alpha. The album has songs like ‘When I Go,’ ‘Fuq Iz Yu Thinkn,’ ‘The Alpha,’ and ‘Johnny Depp.’

Early Age and Bio

Milan Christopher was born in Chicago, Illinois, on 28 February 1984. Due to his uncle’s marriage to the daughter of Motown music magnate Berry Gordy, he has also been known as Milan Christopher Gordy. As of 2021, he is 37 years old.

Christopher spent his early years in the Chicago south side and developed a strong love for music and singing.

Gay

Christopher is one of the first artists of color to represent the LGBT community on the VH1 reality series Love & Hip Hop. However, his appearance in the show drew him into the center of several controversies. The black male rappers’ community thought of him as the biggest hip hop and rap disgrace.

He even received multiple death threats and hate messages. “They say very evil things like that I’m going to go to hell because I’m gay, and that I’m an abomination to God, and some people even send death threats saying they’ll kill me or that they wish my mother had aborted me,” he said to Forbes in January 2016.

Dating Life

Christopher is an openly gay American rapping star. In 2016, he was romantically involved with The Broom Wedding actor, Miles Brock. However, the pair broke up the same year.

Following his separation from Miles, there were several rumors of him dating American model and actress Moniece Slaughter. The rumor confused his fans and followers about his sexuality as gay or bisexual. However, Christopher later clarified his relationship with Moniece as just good friends through his Instagram.

To wipe off the rumors completely, he was linked with reality show star EJ Thompson, also popularly recognized as the son of NBA icon Magic Thompson. Christopher and EJ Thompson also appeared together at the 48th Gala Vanguard Awards organized at the LGBT Center in 2017. But again, neither of them has yet completely confirmed their relationship status.

Paper Magazine

In 2017, Christopher made it to news headlines worldwide for his bold photoshoot with Paper magazine. The photos include his completely naked pictures exposing his full frontal.

He spoke of his daring actions with VH1 in 2017 and said, “I think I have a nice body and I think it’s art and I just think that it should be celebrated like they celebrate women’s bodies.”
