Mia Hayward is an American social media influencer who got famous through Instagram and TikTok. She is a Hype House member and appears in the Netflix special Hype House.

Who is Mia Hayward?

Mia Hayward was born on 28 July 2000 in San Diego, California, into a middle-class Christian family. She graduated from Sage Creek High School in 2018. 

She is recognized as a social media influencer and Tiktok celebrity. She began her Instagram journey in 2016, and by 2022, she had amassed 3.7 million followers on TikTok, followed by 1.1 million followers on Instagram. She mostly posts outfit inspiration, lifestyle, and fashion-related content on her social media. 

Hayward is also a member of TikTok celebrity house and appears on the Netflix series, infamously known as Hype House. 

Hype House

The Hype House is a group of young TikTok personalities based in Los Angeles, California. Hype House also represents the $5 million mansion where Hayward and other content creators collaborate to make videos together. It was launched in December 2019.

Hype House was originally formed to make collaboration easier among TikTok stars. It had 20 of the biggest names in TikTok, including Charli D'Amelio, Dixie D'Amelio, Larry, and Addison Rae, living under the same roof. But many members have since then moved along and left the Hype House. Their present members include Thomas Petrou, Mia Hayward, Alex Warren, Kouvr Annon, Jack Wright, Renata Ri, Tabitha Swatosh, Nikita Dragun, and Vinnie Hacker.

They also released a Netflix reality TV series titled Hype House on Netflix that premiered on 7 January 2022. Spoke Studios and Wheelhouse Entertainment produced this show, and it gives an inside look at the TikTok stars and their daily life. The show presents the members of Hype House as they navigate love, fame, and friendship while making videos and living together. The show has one season comprising eight episodes as of February 2022.

In the first episode of the series, Hayward's boyfriend, Thomas Petrou, mentioned, "My role in the Hype House is kind of like the dad of the house and I would say like the 'manager,' but I don't take a percentage of anybody." 

However, Hayward appeared to have received criticisms following the premiere of Hype House. Some fans also claimed that Hayward's and Thomas Petrou's relationship is toxic.

Moreover, Petrou talked about creating the house on the show. He said, "My whole goal with this house in the first place, was, why can't people who hit millions of other people be as famous as A-list celebrities?" 

Petrou further added on his roles and position among the house members, "My role in the Hype House is kind of like the dad of the house and I would say like the 'manager,' but I don't take a percentage of anybody."

Parents and Brother Bio

There aren't reliable sources sharing her family details. However, she has a brother named Jake Hayward, who also appears in Hype House stars content. 

Jake Hayward was born on 30 October 1997. He is Mia's elder brother, and he is also a social media star. He rose to prominence after posting Tiktok vidoes with Hype House stars like Nikita Dragun. Furthermore, he holds 507k followers and 9.8 million likes on Tiktok, followed by 126k followers on Instagram. 

Boyfriend

Hayward began dating Thomas Petrou, the founder of Hype House, in April 2020, after making their relationship official via Instagram. The couple started dating a few months after Thomas's split with his long-term and high school girlfriend, Kayla Pimentel. The couple lives together in the Hype house and has a puppy, Leo. 

In the description of one of Petrou's videos on YouTube, which now has been deleted, he wrote, "Kayla changed my life and I have nothing but love for her. Sometimes in life people come in and out of your life to change you for the better. I wouldn't be who I am today without the time that we spent together and for that, I'll always be grateful."

On 9 January 2022, Thomas posted a video on YouTube where he talked about his progress with The Hype House and career as a video producer and also explained what Hayward meant to him. He began by saying that he felt people took advantage of him, even though he had supported others.

Thomas also said that he had a tough upbringing, and his girlfriend Hayward has been with him through his life's good and bad times. "I don't really have anybody besides my amazing girlfriend," Thomas added. 

Thomas has 2.1 million followers on Instagram and 8.1 million followers on Tiktok. He also posts YouTube content, amassing 1.83 million subscribers on his YouTube channel. He was previously associated with Team 10 but was removed from the group for undisclosed reasons. 

Are They Engaged?

In February 2021, rumors about Hayward and Thomas Petrou being engaged circulated after being fueled by an Instagram post by Thomas, in which Hayward was seen wearing a ring. 

Thomas had appeared to propose Hayward on Valentine's Day with a ring that had a circle diamond with a pavé band. However, it was later disclosed that it was only a promise ring, not an engagement ring.
