Following her debut role, Williams’s second TV appearance came in the 2015 TV series, The Game. Subsequently, she appeared in a string of guest roles, including shows like If Loving You is Wrong (2016), Rosewood (2017), Hand of God (2017), and Me, Myself and I (2018).

Ruthless is the spin-off of the popular BET TV series The Oval. Williams appeared as recurring characters, Denise and Ruth, twin sisters in the latter series. Both her characters received lots of praise and positive response from the audiences and critics. As a result, the show’s creator Tyler Perry offered Williams the lead role in its spin-off, Ruthless.
While speaking with the Los Angeles Sentinel in April 2020, Williams talked about her initial offer to appear as Ruth in Ruthless. She said, “After my first audition, he said that he thought that Ruth would be a better role for me. He asked me to think about it. I told him yes—immediately on the phone but he said, no, think about it and then he said to text him and let him know.”
The series aired its pilot episode on 19 March 2020. The first season consisted of 24 episodes. As of December 2021, the show is airing its season 2.
