Who is Meg DeLacy?

Meg DeLacy is a Filipino-American actress and music composer. DeLacy began her acting journey as Maya in the 2012 film Papa. It followed her appearance in the TV movie Bad Fairy as Chloe in the same year. Similarly, she has varied roles in several other movies like The Blackout (2014), Austin Found (2017), Woodstock or Bust (2018), and Rose (2021).

Besides feature films, DeLacy also holds credits for several TV series appearances. However, she has mainly gained fame from her prominent role appearance in the DC superhero TV series Stargirl (2020-2021). 

Her other notable performances are in Side Effects (2013-2015), The Disappearing Girl (2016), The Fosters (2017-2018), The Rookie (2020-2021), etc.

Meg DeLacy was born Margaret DeLacy Kelley in California, USA, on 9 July 1996. 

Born and raised in the USA, she is of mixed ethnicity as her mother is from the Philippines. Her mother relocated with her parents to the United States when she was only two years of age. She also has a Spanish-born great-grandmother.

Family and Siblings

DeLacy has not disclosed her parents' names in public. However, on her mother's birthday on 26 November 2020, she posted a throwback picture of her parents on her Instagram handle.

'Stargirl'

Stargirl is a superhero drama TV series based on DC's superhero comics. The first season aired simultaneously on DC Universe and The CW from May 2020. However, the CW channel began broadcasting the series from the second season, solely premiering on 10 August 2021.

To date, the series has released 26 episodes through two seasons. DeLacy became part of this superhero adventure right from the pilot episode and has appeared in 20 episodes.

She portrayed the villainous character Cindy Burman aka Shiv, in the series. Her character, Cindy, is the cheerleading captain in her high school. Moreover, she is the daughter of the supervillain Dragon King and is the partner to Henry King Jr.

Cindy's superpower is that she can employ blades through her skin. Furthermore, in pursuit of walking in her father's footsteps, she acquires a fire-throwing staff and armor.

She talked about her audition for the role in one of her interviews with Collider in July 2020. She gushed, "When I auditioned for Cindy, there was a line in the audition scripts, or the sides, that mentioned something about a Dragon King, so that gave it away, just a little, but the names were different."

Who is She Dating?

As of now, she is engaged with her long-time boyfriend, Brody Baker. DeLacy announced her engagement via an Instagram post on 30 December 2021. She shared a romantic picture and flashed a beautiful engagement ring through the post.

There is no information available on authentic sites about the pair's dating life. However, both DeLacy and Baker regularly feature on one another's social media.

According to Baker's Instagram bio, he serves as a creative director at Moose Knuckles Canada, a garment company. Other than that, his professional details are not found in any verified sources.
