Maurice Clarett is a former American football running back. 

He was born on 29 October 1983 in Ohio. Clarett started one season at Ohio State, rushing for 1,237 yards and 18 touchdowns, leading the Buckeyes to a 14–0 record and the BCS National Championship in 2002. In the 2003 Fiesta Bowl, he scored the game-winning touchdown against Miami on a five-yard run in overtime.

Many experts predicted that if he were drafted, he would go in the 6th or 7th round. Clarett, on the other hand, did not impress in the Denver Broncos' preseason training camp.

He was approached in December 2005 about joining the Steubenville Stampede of the American Indoor Football League's North Division.

Clarett was signed by the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League on 30 August 2010. He rushed for 12 yards on five carries against the Sacramento Mountain Lions on 1 October 2010, in his first meaningful game in eight years.

On 1 January 2006, Columbus police said they were looking for Clarett in connection with two armed robberies at 1:46 a.m. outside the Opium Lounge dance club.

In 2018, Clarett along with Cory Gregory and John Fosco established a podcast Business and Biceps. The podcast has been consistently ranking towards the top of the business podcast rankings and the top 100 overall podcasts in the Apple iTunes store.
