Mark Parrish Former NHL right winger best known for his time with teams like the Minnesota Wild, where he was named team captain. He was an NHL All-Star selection for the 2002-03 season.

Who is Mark Parrish? 

Mark Parrish is a former hockey player, popularly known for his career in the National Hockey league. He played with Florida Panthers, Islanders, and Minnesota Wild during his career. 

Parrish was born on 2 February 1977 in Bloomington, Minnesota, and is currently 44 years old. He attended Bloomington Jefferson High School, and during high school, he won two Minnesota State Championships. He is the son of Gene and Barb Parrish. 

Parrish played collegiate hockey for Saint Cloud State University for two seasons from 1995 to 1997. In 1996 and 1997, he won a silver medal as a World Junior Championship Team member. He was also a scorer in Two-time World Championships Team member in 2001 and 2005. 

He was a member of the 2006 US Olympic Team. Parrish was awarded the 'Good Guy Award' by the LI chapter of the NY Writers' Association for cooperation with the media. Currently, Parrish works as a studio analyst for the NHL Network. 

NHL

In the 1996 NHL entry draft, Parrish was selected by the Colorado Avalanche as the 79th overall pick. Parrish made his NHL debut in 1998 when he was first drafted in the Florida Panthers. He was a member of the Florida Panthers from 1998 to 2000. During this period, he played a total of 154 games, made a total of 50 goals, and gained 81 points. 

In 2000, he was traded to the New York Islanders. He played as a right-wing with the New York Islanders and remained a team member from 2000 to 2006. During this career with the Islanders, Parrish played 345 games in which he made a total of 118 goals. Likewise, he gained a total of 214 points. 

Parrish transferred to play for the Minnesota Wild in 2006 and continued to play with them for two years. While he was with them, he played a total of 142 games in which he made a total of 35 goals. Likewise, he gained 69 points. 

In 2008, he transferred to Dallas Stars. He just played 44 games with Dallas Stars and made a total of 8 goals, for which he earned 13 points. Additionally, Parrish transferred to Tampa Bay Lightning the following year, where he just played 16 games and scored 2 points.

During the 2010/2011 season, Parrish was a member of the Buffalo Sabres, where he just appeared in 2 games until he retired the same year. Parrish had a 12 year long successful career in the NHL. During his career, he played 722 games, scored 216 goals, and gained 387 points in total. 

Wife

Mark Parrish is married to Nicholle. The pair got married on 18 June 2004. They met through Nicholle's father, Gerry. Mark knew Gerry from the softball league. The pair met on 19 January 2001 after an Islanders-Minnesota Wild game. Though the Islanders lost the game that day, Mark remembers having fond memories of the night. 

Nicholle has a degree in Broadcast Journalism which she pursued from the University of Minnesota. In an interview, Parrish mentioned how supportive Nicholle is and how she motivates him. He also calls her his coach as she provides instructions on what to do. They have two children together; Turner and Gianna. The family of four live in Manhasset.
