Marcus Glenn Richardson is a managing consultant for a web and mobile app security company called nVisium in Herndon, Virginia. He is an alumnus of Florida State University.

He was born to Russell Richardson of Wendell, N.C., and his mother, Toussaint Richardson of Wichita, Kan. His father is a retired colonel of the Air Force, who also served as the director of logistics for the Third Air Force in Europe at Ramstein Air Base in Germany. In addition, he operated as a squadron commander in the Gulf War from 1990 to 1991.

Phillip is a Harvard-graduated CNN Political Correspondent who covered the presidential election in 2020. She joined CNN in 2017 to highlight President Donald Trump's administration and remained as White House Correspondents until 2019. She also moderated the Democratic Presidential Debate in Iowa in January 2020 for CNN.

Before joining CNN, she served for The Washington Post. There she was responsible for national political reporting and general assignments. Phillip also worked at ABC News as a digital reporter for politics. Moreover, her work bio also includes reports on the Obama White House, campaign finance, and lobbying for POLITICO. Furthermore, Phillip was selected to the 'Time 100 Next list in 2021' and received the 'Women of Power' award from the National Urban League.

Phillip and Richardson's daughter Naomi was born in August of 2021. On 18 August 2021, Philip posted a picture of the newborn and wrote, "Marcus and I are so happy to announce that Naomi Angelina Richardson arrived bright and early on Monday morning perfectly happy, healthy and ready to eat. Mom and baby are feeling great."

Prior to Naomi's birth, in a March 2021 interview, Phillip reminisced about her initial stages of pregnancy and talked about her during-pregnant work-life balance. She said, "The experience of pregnancy has only made me become more in awe of what we as women are able to endure. It was tough: battling morning sickness while balancing a demanding job with long, unpredictable hours." She also added, "But it has been a reminder of what I am capable of - and what so many women do every day."

Subsequent to giving birth, Phillip told the People Magazine that she does not intend to change her work ethic after being a mother. She also said that Richardson was aware of her career expectations before getting married and having Naomi. Therefore, she believed that she and Richardson would raise their daughter while traveling, working, and socializing like she normally did.
