Early Life and Education
Malcolm Harris was born on 28 February 1985. His passion for entrepreneurship sparked at the early age of 12 while working alongside his grandmother, making cold calls for her insurance and networking marketing business.
After graduating from a Michigan-based fine arts boarding school, Interlochen Arts Academy, Harris attended Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At Drexel, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications in 2007.
In his freshman year at Drexel University, Harris worked at a religious organization called Asbury in the basement of the student center. As per Harris, the flexibility of Drexel's academic programs allowed him to begin his entrepreneurial journey while he was still a full-time student at the university. He initially targeted to earn an extra $2,750 each month, but he started making $10,109 in a single week within six months. He then quit the six-figure consulting job and devoted himself to his own business. The National Care Financial Group (National Care Premiere Partners NA), also referred to as National Care, is a financial services marketing and distribution company.
In the next six years, Harris turned National Care Financial Group into a multi-million dollar agency. His company also became one of the largest African-American-owned financial services firms in the world. According to Harris, the company had recruited more than 5,000 team members.
