Luis Armand Garcia is an American actor best known for playing Max Lopez in the American sitcom George Lopez (2002-2007).

Luis Armand Garcia appeared in many national advertisements, including Chevrolet, before his television debut. 

Garcia made his TV debut at the age of 13. He appeared as the guest character, Jason, in the drama and romance hybrid ER that ran from 1994 to 2009. He was featured in its episode, ‘Flight of Fancy’ that aired in 2000. The same year, he received his big break from the ABC comedy and drama amalgam, The George Lopez Show also known as George Lopez, as one of its permanent casts. 

George Lopez is an American sitcom created by Robert Borden, Bruce Helford, and George Lopez. It is a comedy-drama mix where George Lopez, the eponymous character, stars as a manufacturing plant manager who is struggling to deal with his eccentric family and other unexpected events linked to his troubled childhood. The show premiered on 27 March 2002 and lasted till 2007.

He played the character, Max Lopez, in about 120 episodes of the sitcom that ran for six years, from 2002 to 2007, carrying six seasons.  The show’s major plotlines revolve around the fictionalized main character George Lopez, whose troubled childhood secrets unfold while raising his family as an adult. 

Subsequently, he made another guest appearance in one of the series episodes, Freddi (2005-2006), reprising his character Max from George Lopez. He appeared in the episode ‘Freddie Gets Cross Over George’ that aired in 2006.

Garcia is also a philanthropist. He has been an active participant in charity events for humanitarian organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the American Heart Association. He also steers his own foundation, Hands-on Horses, which helps American foster children.

Gracia was born on 9 March 1992 in LaGrange, a village in Illinois, USA. He grew up in a household of five siblings.

Albeit his early career that started at 13, he had a well-balanced existence outside of his television profession. He not only did well in the school academics, earning an A but was also athletically competent. He was a member of his school football team and enjoyed skateboarding and golfing.

While the rest of Gracia’s co-stars from George Lopez have prospered in their acting careers, Gracia has opted to tone down his appearances in Hollywood. He hasn’t starred in any TV series or films since the closure of George Lopez, indicating that he might have deviated his pathway from the limelight.

A cursory glance at his Instagram profile (luiearmando) has no trace of any acting involvement in his life. Instead, he appears to be in a serious relationship and enjoys spending time with his close friends and family as well as being outdoors.

Arrest

In 2012, the authorities in Valencia’s Westridge neighborhood detained Garcia after receiving complaints about a noisy party.

Lieutenant Eric S. Lasko of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station stated, “During the course of their investigation, deputies determined that suspect Garcia was drunk in public and arrested him without incident.”
