Robson was named the ‘Player of the Year for the two consecutive years by the Treasure Coast Golf Association in 2012 and 2013. She also represented The University of South Florida (USF) in college before moving to California Polytechnic (Cal Poly) to finish her education.
Early Age & Education
Born on 10 March 1995, in London, England, to Nick and Jayne Robson, Robson has a sister named Harriet Robson. She started attending school in Surrey when she was five years old. Her family moved to Florida, the USA, in 2005, when she was ten years old, after getting a Green Card.
Golf Career
At 10, she moved to the USA, picked up golf, and began competing in JPT, SFPGA, and FJT competitions across Florida. She competed in Florida Junior Tour and FWSGA events and also played in national and international tournaments. She also represented the South Team in the Junior Florida Cup twice.
In 2011, she led her high school squad to a second-place finish at State. It was the best finish the school had ever had. Her GHIN handicap was 1.1, and she was ranked 589 nationally in all age categories on the Junior Golf Scoreboard.
In addition, Robson was ranked in 11th position and was also named MVP in each of her years in high school. At the end of 2011, she was even named Treasure Coast Golfer of the Year by Scripps Newspapers. Robson was trained at Hammock Creek G&CC in Florida by Martin Hall of Golf Channel’s School Of Golf and Rod Curl Jr. of Hammock Creek G&CC.
At 18, Robson earned a scholarship to play on the USF (University of South Florida) women’s golf team in 2013. From 2013 to 2014, as a freshman, she competed in five tournaments with a low round of 74 at the Cardinal Cup. She had an average of 80.7 strokes over 14 rounds. Later as a sophomore at South Florida, she competed in two events, averaging 80.8 strokes over five rounds. Her university team was ranked first on the 2015 Hurricane Collegiate Tour.
After spending two years at USF, the golfer headed west to the Pacific to attend Cal Poly. As a junior in her first year at Cal Poly, she took part in six tournaments and averaged 79.8 strokes over 16 rounds. The year turned out to be Cal Poly’s highest finish and was a tie for 23rd place in the Big West Conference Championship, which helped the team finish second.
Later, Robson shot a 72 in the Bruin-Wave Invitational, which UCLA and Pepperdine co-hosted at the San Luis Obispo Country Club. She graduated from Cal Poly and returned to Florida in 2017.
Previously, Robson was named the Treasure Coast’ Player Of The Year’ for two consecutive years in 2012 and 2013. She attended Jensen Beach High School in Florida, graduated in 2013, and earned 18 credits for college in dual enrollment. She was also a member of the National Art Honor Society.
