Louise Mandrell was born on 13 July 1956 in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Irby Matthew Mandrell and Mary Ellen. She is currently 67 years old. Louise has two sisters, Barbara and Irene. Her parents owned a music store, which became an inspiration for Louise to pursue a career in music. Irby, Mary, and Barbara were running a family band called Mandrell Family band, and they often toured around the country, which fuelled Louise's love for music. 

Career 

Mandrell had a love for instruments from a young age. She was first recruited for Barbara's new band, the Do-Rites Fresh, where she sang and played Bass. After a certain level of success, Louise received the opportunity to work with famous singer and songwriter Merle Haggard. Mandrell backed him up as a vocalist on stage and in the studio. 

In 1978, she began her own career as a featured artist when she signed with Epic Records. With Epic Records, she released many hit songs, including the country version of 'Reunited.' The song was originally by the duo group Peaches & Herb. 

Louise and her sister Irlene joined the cast of Barbara Mandrell and the Mandrell Sisters in 1981. The show was a variety program that showcased the sisters' singing, comedic and instrumental skills. 

Mandrell then had a successful career and collaborated with artists such as Minnie Pearl, Tony Orlando, Roy Rogers, and Dolly Parton. 

After a successful few years with Epic Records, Mandrell signed a new contract with RCA Records in 1981 and eventually released seven more albums. Her songs that became 80's massive hits include 'Maybe My Baby,' 'Save Me,' 'Too Hot To Sleep,' and many more. The songs helped Mandrell become one of the "Top 10" in the music industry, and she created a legacy in country music. 

Besides music, Mandrell made appearances on TV shows such as Crazy Like A Fox, Mike Hammer, and Another World. She continued her successful career in television shows and music till the '90s. 

In September 1997, Mandrell built her own theatre, The Louise Mandrell Theater. It was located at Pigeon Forge, Smoky Mountains, Tennessee. The theatre has a seating capacity of 1400 and features various performances from various genres such as Jazz and Big band. In January 2006, Mandrell retired from the theatre and spent time outside Nashville with her husband and family.

After retiring in 2006, Mandrell has not made many appearances in music and stopped releasing albums. However, she occasionally does special performances for events and appears on different shows. 

In 2007, she performed in Washington DC with the US Army Band. Likewise, she also did some shows and tours in December 2011. On 6 September 2012, Mandrell played the lead role in the Dinner stage play Calamity Jane at the Roger Rocka's Theatre in Fresno, California. She reprised her role on 15 September 2019. 

Her last appearance was reported to be when she was featured on a radio program called Opry Country Classics on 3 October 2019.

Mandrell has been married four times in her life. In 1981, she first tied the knot with Ronald Shaw. Unfortunately, the marriage ended in divorce in 1973. 

After a year, Mandrell was involved with Gary Lamar Buck. The couple tied the knot on 23 July 1975 and divorced in 1978. 

In 1979, Mandrell exchanged her vows with R.C. Bannon on 26 February 1979. The couple shares a child, Nicole Mandrell Shipley. Mandrell and Bannon adopted Nicole. However, the marriage between Mandrell and Bannon ended in 1991. 

Mandrell is currently married to John Haywood. The couple tied the knot on 16 July 1993 and have been together for 28 years.
