He continued to star in two other movies of the Love Comes Softly series: Love's Long Journey and Love's Abiding Joy.
Following Love's Abiding Joy, he appeared in several TV series in 2007 like Ghost Whisperer, CSI: NY, and Close to Home. In 2010, he portrayed a disturbed hockey player in the movie The Genesis Code.

Love's Enduring Promise follows the story of Missie (played by January Jones) and an elementary school teacher in her little village. She is caught between two worlds and the love of two very different men.
Love's Long Journey follows newlyweds Missie (January Jones) and Willie LaHaye (Bartholomew) as they struggle to start a new life in the uncivilized territory. The other actors of the film include W. Morgan Sheppard and John Savage.
Similarly, in Love's Abiding Joy, Willie LaHaye and his wife, Missie (Erin Cottrell), deal with the death of their infant daughter while attempting to keep their frontier ranch going. In the meantime, Willie, the new sheriff, is being used in a scheme to foreclose on other ranchers' properties by Sam Doros, the mayor and wealthiest man in town.
