Liza Rebecca Weil is an actress best known for her role in the TV series Gilmore Girls as Paris Geller.

Who is Liza Weil?

Liza Rebecca Weil is an American actress born on 5 June 1977 in Passaic, USA. She spent her childhood traveling around the world with her parents, the former affiliates of The Mad House of London, a comedy troupe known all across Europe.

Weil's family moved to a small town in Pennsylvania when she was seven years old, and she soon began performing in the local theater. Her parents helped guide her career despite her lack of formal training, allowing her to travel to Manhattan several times a month to audition for roles.

Weil debuted her acting career at nine years old. In 1994, she was featured in the TV series The Adventures of Pete & Pete as Margie Corsell. She reprised her role for two episodes from 1994 to 1996.

After that, Weil appeared in another TV series, As the World Turns, in 1995. She made her feature movie debut in 1998 with Whatever, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. 

The following year, she played another role in the movie Stir of Echoes as Debbie the Babysitter. Then in 2000, Weil landed one of her most recognized roles, Paris Geller, in the TV series Gilmore Girls. She portrayed the character for seven years until 2007, appearing in 127 episodes.

During this time, Weil also starred in several other TV shows such as The West Wing (2000), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2001), and ER (2000-2002).

Her other credits include Eleventh Hour (TV series 2009), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (TV series 2009), Grey's Anatomy (TV series 2009), Little Fish, Strange Pond (movie 2009), Private Practice (TV series 2011), Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life (TV mini-series 2016), The Black Emperor of Broadway (movie 2020), The Cleaning Lady (TV series 2022), and many more.

Besides, Weil also has an upcoming project, a movie titled Mosquito, where she will play the role of Lisa.

Does Liza Weil have a Baby?

Weil was previously married to Paul Adelstein, with whom she shares an eleven-year-old daughter named Josephine. The former couple met while performing in the theater and got married in November 2006, after getting engaged in May 2006. 

Paul Adelstein is an actor and producer born in Chicago, Illinois, the USA, on 29 April 1969. He attended Bowdoin College, earning a Phi Beta Kappa and a summa cum laude in English. He has worked on films such as Bedazzled (2000), Intolerable Cruelty (2003), Land of the Lost (2009), and many more.

Weil and Adelstein divorced on 8 November 2017, after 11 years of marriage. Weil filed for divorce from her former husband on 25 March 2016, citing irreconcilable differences, with their separation date listed as 15 January 2016.

The former pair has appeared in three films together: Order Up, Frenemy, and The Missing Person. Moreover, in 2011, Weil also co-starred in an episode of the TV series Private Practice with her ex-husband. However, they did not share a scene.

After her divorce from Paul Adelstein, Weil began dating Charlie Weber, her co-star on the TV show How To Get Away With Murder. The couple started dating privately in 2016, a few months after she divorced Paul Adelstein, her then-husband. 

In the early months of 2016, Weber also filed for divorce from his wife, Giselle, before being involved with Weil. He and his ex-wife filed for divorce, citing 1 February 2016 as their official separation date. 

Weber and his ex-wife, Giselle, got married in Mexico on 21 April 2015, in a private ceremony. They also have a child from the relationship.
