Johns and her husband Marcus Johns got into a hit-and-run bicycle accident in May 2020. The couple was hospitalized after Johns’ femur was snapped in half and Marcus’ lower leg was broken.
Johns later explained to her followers that a man going extremely fast hit them head-on and fled the scene. Moreover, she said, “This is an extremely traumatic experience, but I wanted to keep you guys updated, but please keep us in your prayers.”
Furthermore, Marcus also wrote a post about the accident on Instagram, “We are better now, but please keep us in your prayers. We love you all. Me and Kris got to see each other briefly today before going into our surgery, and I am so glad she is safe.”
The couple also believed that the person who hit them was attempting to flee police after a burglary and had intended to kill them.
