Who is King Vader?

Dominique Barrett, popularly known as King Vader, is known for his YouTube content and is an internet personality. He first joined YouTube on 20 April 2015. He hadpreviously  gained recognition from his videos on Vine. 

Vader was born on 18 April 1997 in Chicago, Illinois. He is currently 24 years old, as of 26 December 2021. He was raised in Maryland along with his brothers by a single mother. His mother spent most of her time working and providing for the family. His older brother also extensively helped his mother. He and his younger brother would spend time creatively before their mother returned home from work. The two brothers would draw pictures, make stories with toys, and create crafts out of paper. 

Short Bio

Vader first gained recognition when one of his skits went viral on Vine. He had moved from Chigraco to Maryland at the age of 11. There, he was encouraged by his older cousin (who is now his manager) to appear in short movies and home videos. 

In high school, he decided to experiment with short Vine videos. The skit gained much popularity, gaining up to 500k followers. He was also featured on Comedy Central and Tosh.0. He received positive feedback, and this began his career in video creation.

However, he had to rethink gathering an audience after the app shut down. He would then join Youtube and Instagram to get in touch with the audience.

As of now, he has 2.7 million subscribers on YouTube, 1.6 million followers on Instagram, and 4.1 million followers on TikTok. He is also running another YouTube channel named “Wolf Graphic” to broadcast members’ acting, comedy, and music production talents. 

Vader is known for a specific type of parody video, including anime, superheroes, movies, and TV shows. Likewise, he is also known for distinctly black rewriting the characters. One of his most watched videos on YouTube is a part of a series called Hood Naruto. The video has more than 20 million views. 

From 2020 to October 2021, he was also seen portraying the character Verin in the adventure fantasy drama TV series More Than Just Me.

Wolf Graphic 

Vader is generally surrounded by his crew of influencers and comedians who call themselves Wolf Graphic. The group is made up of some of his childhood friends from Maryland. The group members often appear in each other’s videos and help each other promote content. 

Wolf Graphic is a film production with a team filled with individuals with different talents. The group members create skits, short films, perform stand-up comedy, and are also involved in music production. They joined YouTube on 1 November 2014, and as of now, they have 40,514,732 views. 

'Netflix Dreams' 

Vader is one of the youngest African American directors to work with a streaming network. He teamed up with Netflix to bring a mini-series called Netflix Dreams. The story is about a young viewer named King Vader (Dominique Barrett,) who falls asleep watching The Umbrella Academy. When he wakes up, he discovers that he is in a new world and has different abilities. 

The mini-series was first aired in 2020 and currently has four episodes. 

The first episode of the series focused on the storyline of The Umbrella Academy, and the second episode focused on the storyline of Cobra Kai.
