'Love & Marriage: Huntsville'

Love & Marriage: Huntsville is an unscripted reality TV series that debuted on OWN in 2019. The series follows the lives of three African-American couples who group to revive Huntsville, Alabama. The show is produced by Kingdom Reign Entertainment, along with the executive producers Carlos King, Gil Lopez, and Andrew Hoagland.

The reality series comprises three seasons. The third season also stars the same cast as it did in the last two seasons: Grant and Maurice, Melody and Martell Holt, and Marsau and LaTisha Scott.

Season 1 saw Grant and Maurice plan their wedding cut short due to her troubled relationship with Maurice's ex. In addition, Maurice moved from finance and part-time real estate to the legal field in season one.

Season 2, released in 2020, began with the Black Lives Matter movement and a coronavirus pandemic. While Grant is working as a nurse on the front lines of the pandemic, she disagrees with Maurice about her son Jaylin, who has graduated college and is unsure of his next step in life.

Similarly, season 3 was released in late 2021 and revolved around Kimmi and Maurice struggling to parent a teenager.

Grant had been a single mother for a long time before moving to Alabama and meeting her husband, Maurice Scott. Scott and Grant have known each other for over nine years.

The couple married on an all-white yacht in Miami in the first season of the reality TV series Love & Marriage: Huntsville.

On 17 August 2021, Maurice shared his graduation picture with Grant on Instagram and wrote, "@kimmi_kls was the person who sacrificed the most. Whether it was her time, last minute errands, listening to me make sense of Cases and Latin, or not wholly having my presence in my new marriage, she never wavered in praying, encouraging, calming, and pushing me to become the best I could be."

When asked about what's the hardest part about working side by side with each other in an interview with Essence in 2020, Grant said, "Not always being on the same page. We are very different. I am super Type A and meticulous about information and details. He's much more laid back."

Whereas Maurice replied, "The most challenging thing about working with my partner is our vision. We see things completely different."
