She wrote, "After 15 years in TV news, with the majority of my career at Arizona's Family, I've made the tough decision to leave this industry and enter into a new role. Her last weekend as a meteorologist with KTVK 3TV was on 20 and 21 November 2021. Her last morning as a reporter was on 26 November.
“Unfortunately, there sometimes comes a point where you begin to feel stagnant in your career, and the opportunities for growth become limited,” Quintero revealed to The Arizona Republic by email at the time. “That became very apparent for me over the past two years.”
Quintero also said that her future position will allow her to continue in Arizona and to contribute to the communities in a completely different role while remaining true to her basic ideals.
“As we've progressed into 2020-2021, I came to realize I'm not happy with the direction our society and country are headed in and I want to get more involved to help make a difference,” Quintero added.
After that, Quintero began her new position at the Arizona Senate Majority Caucus as the communications director on 29 November 2021.
Over The Edge
Over The Edge is a yearly pledge-based fundraising event in which rappellers raise funds to assist over 16,000 athletes from across Arizona.
Quintero also took part in the Special Olympics Arizona Over The Edge 2018, which she mentioned being a few of the 'scariest things' she has done.
In 2019, she shared a post on Facebook writing about not taking part that year. She said, "I won't be there this weekend, but I'll be there in spirit with the amazing athletes, law enforcement, and community members brave enough to take the challenge."
There is no information about Quintero having a boyfriend or husband.
However, when asked about what she seeks in a partner in an interview with Arizona Foot Hills Magazine in 2016, she replied, "A sense of humor is a must. Honesty, willingness to be physically active with me, able to communicate what's on his mind, driven and goal-oriented, easy-going, able to make and follow through with plans, someone who's affectionate, thoughtful and kind."
Quintero also added that the person should physically and mentally take care of himself and look out for her.
In the same interview, she discussed her ideal date. She described it as a hike in Sedona or the Grand Canyon, followed by a spa treatment, dinner, wine alfresco, and an outdoor concert under the stars.
