Kerry Bishe is a renowned television and film actress. Her fans recall her as Donna from the AMC TV series Halt and Catch Fire (2014-2017).

Who is Kerry Bishe?

Kerry Lynne Bishe is an American actress born in New Zealand on 1 May 1984. 

Although born in New Zealand, she relocated to New Jersey, USA, with her family at a young age. There she attended Montclair Kimberley Academy, the same school where her father worked as a Social Studies teacher. Later, she enrolled in the Northern University for higher education.

Bishe started her career in the acting industry in 2007. She debuted with a minor role in the film The Lucky Ones. Since then, she has added 39 acting credits to her resume. 

Moreover, her most notable appearances are in Scrubs (2009-2010 TV series), Argo (2012 film), Max Rose (2013 film), Brooke (2016 TV movie), Halt and Catch Fire (2014-2017 TV series), Penny Dreadful: City of Angels (2020 TV series), Super Pumped (2022 TV series), etc. 

'Halt and Catch Fire'

The historical drama TV series, Halt and Catch Fire premiered on the American multinational channel AMC on 1 June 2014. AMC aired it for a total of four seasons of 10 episodes each through 14 October 2017.

The series titled Halt and Catch Fire, aka HCF, suggests a programming language code that means to halt the work of the Central Processing Unit and cause a fire in it. The storyline follows the technological revolution, especially in personal computer sectors in the 1980s and 1990s.

The show introduced Bishe as a female lead role from the first season in 2014. She appeared as Donna Clark and Donna Emerson in all 40 episodes. 

Moreover, she received the 'WIN Award' nomination in 2016 for her commendable performance on the finale episode titled 'NeXT' of season 3.

'Argo'

The Oscar Award-winning period drama thriller film Argo is set in the late 1970s. The film is an adaptation of the novel (memoir) of the same name written by late Tony Mendez, a CIA operative. 

Released in the United States on 31 August 2012, it won three Oscar Awards in three different categories in 2013. The awards include Best Motion Picture of the Year, Best Achievement in Film Editing, and Best Writing.

The film follows a storyline where Islamist ideologists of Iran attack the US Embassy based in Tehran. The Iranian Islamists captured and took 66 staff as their hostage. However, six of the staff managed to escape the riot and take shelter at an old house belonging to the former Canadian Ambassador, Ken Taylor.

Bishe portrayed the character Kathy Stafford, one of the six escapees of the Iran hostage crisis. 

In an interview with hollywoodreporter.com in March 2021, she talked about her character and their house while filming for Argo. 

According to her, the house had a swimming pool in its territory. However, the cast members were not allowed to plunge into it. Also, none of them were allowed to leave the house as they were working on mirroring the horrible experiences the real houseguests felt during the riot.

Partner and Children

As of now, the Argo star is not married to her partner. However, she has been romantically involved with famous TV and film actor Chris Lowell for a long time. 

According to distractify, they first began their relationship sometime in 2013 and have ever since stayed together.

Although the pair is yet to tie wedding knots, they have welcomed a baby into their lives. But, unfortunately, the exact date of their baby's birth is not available on any authentic media sites. 

However, according to a report on justjared.com, in July 2021, their firstborn is a daughter and was born sometime in early 2021.
