Kellie Rowe was born in 1992 in California to her parents, April and Mike. She grew up with her parents and siblings Savannah and Nick in Davison, Michigan. As of 2021, Rowe is 29 years old.
In 2010, she graduated from Davison High School, where she was involved in various activities and societies, including Davison Television as an executive producer and Student Council as an executive board.
She later graduated from the Honors College with a bachelor of arts degree in Journalism from Michigan State University in 2014.

In an Instagram post dated 27 October 2021, she shared that filling on the desk of FOX 2 was monumental for her. “I am impressed daily by the talented journalists who sit here today and the ones who came before me decades and decades ago. Every person at this station is so good at what they do, it blows my mind. Sitting here in still in my 20s is an honor because unlike others, I was able to grow up at this station and learn from the best of the best,” she wrote.

In addition to her career on FOX 2 Detroit, Rowe started working as a Detroit Lions video reporter and writer at SB Nation, a sports blogging network, in July 2017. There, she anchors The Rowe Report on the network’s show, Pride of Detroit covering Detroit Lions football.
