Katie Conrad is an American TV personality who featured in season 10 of Lifetime reality show Married at First Sight, where she met her former husband, Derek Sherman.

Former Husband

Conrad was previously married to Derek Sherman, who she met in season 10 of Lifetime's reality TV series Married At First Sight. It is a reality show about singles looking for a long-term relationship who agrees to marry a stranger the minute they meet. 

The couple quickly became one of the show's most controversial couples. Sherman confessed his love to Conrad before the eight-week filming period was up. 

According to a 2020 article from Cheat Sheet, Conrad had jealousy and temper issues. Moreover, she admitted that she still had feelings for her ex, with whom she hooked up shortly after filming wrapped.

While talking to Lifetime producers, Conrad mentioned she despises the difference between Sherman's behavior towards her and the other women in the cast. 

Conrad claimed, "He doesn't flirt with me." She believes Sherman's behavior on the couple's retreat was inappropriate, particularly because she never thought he had put enough effort into their relationship.

She said to Sherman while on the retreat, "The way you talk to me and treat me is not any different from the other girls here." She added, "So do I feel special as your wife? No. Not at all. You don't take any initiative, like, physically."

Ultimately, Conrad and Sherman decided not to stay together, despite their decision on Decision Day to try their marriage work.

Who Is She Engaged To Now?

After her failed relationship with Conrad, she is engaged to then-boyfriend Brandon Eaves, whom she met on the Hinge dating app in pre-pandemic 2020. Eaves asked her out for dinner on their first date and happened to choose her favorite restaurant without knowing it was her favorite.

Moreover, when Eaves asked Conrad where she lived to pick her up, they discovered they shared an apartment complex. As a result, Eaves went to the other side of the complex and had their first date.

Conrad made their relationship official with Instagram on 10 May and announced their engagement on Christmas Eve 2020.

Their love grew stronger during the weeks and months they were isolated during the peak of the pandemic. They understood their love was something unique while bonding over puzzles, cooking, playing cards, and video games, a hammock hanging, walking with her (now their) dog Jax, and simply enjoying the slower pace of life at that time. 

About Her Fiancé

Eaves is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, who went on to earn a master of science in information technology from Virginia Tech. He has been working as an instructor for the United States Air Force at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi since July 2020.

Conrad and Eaves now spend their weekends at the beach, going for walks and enjoying their first home together. 

Conrad is looking forward to getting married to Eaves soon. In September 2020, she posted a photo of herself and Eaves tagged on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
