Strickland is an American music video model and TV and film actress. She is primarily famous for playing Charlotte King in the medical drama TV series on ABC, Private Practice.

Who is KaDee Strickland?

KaDee Strickland first gained worldwide fame with the 2004 horror film Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid. 

On 14 December 1975, Strickland took birth to Dee Strickland and Susan Strickland in Patterson, Georgia, USA. She was born Katherine Dee Strickland, but she chose to stick with her nickname KaDee for her screen appearances. Her father Dee was a high school principal and football coach, while her mother was a professional nurse.

Strickland spent most of her early years in Patterson and worked around eight years at a local tobacco farm. She completed her high school studies in Patterson itself. Moreover, Strickland was the student council president during high school and the homecoming queen. She was never really into any performing arts till then. However, she participated in one of the stages acts with her other high school friends, which suddenly ignited her desire to become an actress. In one of her interviews, Strickland said,

the minute I set foot on stage, that was it. Destiny took over. There were no other options. I felt like I fit my skin, I knew what I was here to do.

Following high school graduation, she moved to Philadelphia and studied drama at the University of Arts. She also worked part-time at restaurants and casting agencies. Her job at this agency landed Strickland her first acting job.

Strickland debuted in acting with a mourner role in the 1999 supernatural thriller film The Sixth Sense. The part followed several other minor appearances in films like The Sterling Chase (1999), Diamond Men (2000), Anything Else (2003), Knots (2004), The Stepford Wives (2004), etc. She landed her career’s most prominent role as Sam Rogers in the 2004 film Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid. It was the first sequel to the 1997 film Anaconda.

Strickland’s other movie roles include Robin in Fever Pitch (2005), Audrey in Walker Payne (2006), Jillian Cartwright in The Family That Preys (2008), etc. Her portrayal of Fancy in the 2019 action film Grand Isle was her last appearance.

Besides movies, Strickland has also featured on multiple TV series. She began with a guest appearance in the 2002 ABC soap opera All My Children. She then appeared as a lead cast in several other shows like The Wedding Bells (2007), Private Practice (2007-2013), Secrets and Lies (2015), The Player (2015), Shut Eye (2016-2017), etc. However, her most notable TV role was Charlotte King in Private Practice. She appeared throughout the six seasons of the show as the main cast.

As of 2021, she and her husband are parenting their three kids, Elijah, and twin daughters Caroline and Emmeline Victoria.

The couple recently completed 15 years of marriage. Moreover, Behr took it to his Instagram and shared their wedding day picture. Behr is also an actor born on 30 December 1973. He began his acting career at the age of five, and to date, he has appeared in multiple popular TV shows like Roswell (1999-2002), Breakout Kings (2012), Roswell, New Mexico (2020), Supergirl (2021), etc.
