Who is Josh Klinghoffer?
Josh Klinghoffer kicked off his music career as a teenager. He first worked with the band called The Bicycle Thief. In 2007, he joined the Los Angeles-based rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers as a replacement for on-and-off guitarist John Frusciante. Klinghoffer served as a lead guitarist for the band for over a decade until December 2019. After his departure, Frusciante rejoined the band.
Career after Red Hot Chili Peppers
After parting ways with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Klinghoffer formed his solo band called Pluralone. He then released his debut studio album, To Be One with You, in 2019. The album featured ten songs, including 'Barreling,' 'Rat Bastards at Every Turn,' and 'Save.'
In 2020, he released his second studio album, I Don't Feel Well. It also consisted of 10 songs, including popular singles 'Across the Park,' 'The Night Won't Scare Me,' 'Red Don't Feel,' and 'The Report.' In an interview with Guitar World in November 2021, Klinghoffer shared that he wishes to release a new solo album every year.
"I have a slightly unrealistic/pompous bet with myself that I would be able to put out a record every year. So, I'm in year three of Pluralone's existence, and I'm dangerously close to losing that bet and not having a record out this year. But the clock isn't up yet. I'm trying to make as much music as possible under my own little solo moniker," he said.

Klinghoffer also provided background vocals on the new songs of the band's studio album Gigaton. The band had offered him to perform in their opening act of the 2020 American Pearl Jam tour, but it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Later, he virtually joined the band during the Dance Of The Clairvoyants performance recorded for the All In WA COVID-19 relief concert.
