Joel Klatt is a color analyst, sports show host, former college football quarterback, and former professional baseball player. He initially played amateur baseball leagues in the early 2000s with numerous teams including, San Diego Padres, Idaho Falls, and Eugene. However, he could not make a place in any big leagues, so he quit baseball and began playing football.
Klatt played college football throughout his time at the University of Colorado. From 2002 to 2005, he represented the Colorado team in around 39 matches and completed 690 successful passes, 46 passing touchdowns, 33 pass interceptions, 168 rush attempts, and three successful rush touchdowns. Following the end of his college career, Klatt then played with NFL teams like New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions in 2006.
However, after the 2006 season, he ended his career as a player and joined broadcasting instead. He started with Fox Sports Rocky Mountain as a broadcaster of Friday night high school football. Soon, he was appointed as a studio host in the channel and covered college football from 2007 to 2008.
Then, from 2009 to 2012, Klatt served as the color analyst for Fox Sports Net in the Denver area. During his time at Fox, he also covered several U.S. Open Championships. After that, he joined FS1 in 2013 and became the studio analyst for college football games.
