Jimbo Fisher is a collegiate football coach and former football player. Fisher began his football career as a quarterback at Salem International University, and there he played from 1985 to 1986. Fisher also played for the Samford University Bulldogs and was voted Division III National Player of the Year. 

In 1988, he played in the Arena Football League before joining Samford as a graduate assistant coach for quarterbacks from 1988 to 1990. He was then appointed as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach on a full-time basis.

His additional work stints include the designation of offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Louisiana State University from 2000 to 2006 (LSU) and Florida State Seminoles from 2007 to 2009 and head coach of Florida State University. Fisher is currently the head coach of Texas A&M University’s football team, Aggies.
