Jim J. Bullock is an American actor and comedian, mostly recognized for playing Monroe Ficus in the comedy sitcom Too Close for Comfort (1980-1987).

Jim J. Bullock made his on-screen debut appearing in a guest role as E.E Erdwurm in the children's television program Sunshine Factory. From 1980 to 1987, he played one of his famous characters, Monroe Ficus, in the comedy sitcom Too Close for Comfort, alongside Ted Knight. The sitcom ran on ABC for the first four seasons and then in first-run syndication for another two seasons.

In 1981, he made his first big-screen appearance as Eddie in the horror fantasy comedy film Full Moon High. He played another prominent role as Prince Valium in the 1987 sci-fi adventure comedy film Spaceballs, alongside Mel Brooks. 

Between 1986 and 1989, he was part of the game show The New Hollywood Squares. Between 1989 and 1990, he appeared in five episodes of the fifth and final season of sci-fi television series ALF as Neal Tanner, brother of lead character Willie Tanner (played by Max Wright). 

Bullock then guest-starred in multiple television series in the 1990s before securing a recurring role as Mr. Monroe in the comedy sitcom Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide from 2004 to 2007. From 2005 to 2009, he played the recurring role of wedding planner Serge in the romantic drama television series The Bold and the Beautiful.

After that, he notably appeared as Bernie in the 2010 romantic drama film Role/Play and Bob Zackie in the 2014 comedy film Ron and Laura Take Back America. In 2015, he guest-starred in the television series Glee and Good Job, Thanks! 

In 2019, Jim appeared as a contestant in the reality television show Worst Cooks in America. In 2021, he appeared in the historical documentary television series History of the Sitcom.

"After John died, I was lost. I really was lost. I've never known loss like that. I had become blank. I didn't know what I was doing, or where I was going—it was really an awful period," he once said. He also shared that Hairspray (2005) got him through that period.
