Jeremiah Raber is a reality TV star well known for appearing in the TV series Breaking Amish, Return to Amish, and Breaking Amish: Brave New World.

Who is Jeremiah Raber?

Jeremiah Raber is a TV personality who initially rose to prominence after his debut in the TLC's TV series documentary Breaking Amish in 2012. He left his adoptive parents to star in the show in the same year.

The show follows five young adults who leave their Amish communities' restrictive lifestyles and travels to New York City. There, they experiment with alcohol, enjoy the nightlife, and experience the drama and heartache of relationships for the first time.

The following year, Raber starred in  Breaking Amish's spin-off show titled Breaking Amish: Brave New World. He appeared in eight episodes.  Moreover, he was also featured in Return to Amish from 2017 to 2021. The series follows the original cast members of Breaking Amish as they return to their hometowns and attempt to reintegrate into their Amish communities. However, they run into obstacles or decide along the road that prevents them from doing so and remain shunned for the time being.

Raber also has his own YouTube account, which is still active. He has over 9000 subscribers on the platform and has over 413k views on his videos since launching his account in November 2012. "After more than 6 years on Breaking Amish/Return to Amish on TLC, I decided to try vlogging. Join the Raber family," his YouTube bio reads.

Besides his on-screen appearance, Raber published a children's book, 'A Day In The Life Of An Amish Kid: A Children's Story,' in December 2021. He also sells his merchandise through an online store.

Father

Raber was separated from his biological mother when he was nine months old. He was then adopted by an Amish family when he was 18 months old. Raber has had no contact with the Amish family since being estranged in 2012.

Moreover, Raber met a man named Dennis, who claimed to be his father. After getting a DNA test, the results revealed Dennis was not his father, but his biological father was his mother's brother-in-law, Larry, who, unfortunately, had died.

Raber learned from his cousins that Larry was his mother's brother-in-law. His mother allegedly had an affair with Larry and became pregnant. When Larry's wife (Raber's aunt) learned of the affair, she murdered her husband. His cousins even showed him newspaper clippings about Larry's murder.

Wife

Raber has been married to his wife Carmela since 16 April 2016. Carmela has four children from her previous relationship, whom they are raising together. 

In April 2017, Raber was arrested on suspicion of battery after a physical altercation with Carmela. She even showed cops several large bruises on her legs and arms that she said were caused by Raber striking her with his fist. However, he claimed he was innocent. 

 A few months later, in October 2017, Raber accused Carmela of stealing the $16,000 they received by selling their house. "We sold the property, cashed the check this morning, she put it in her purse, and when I got out to go pay the electric bill she took off," Raber noted in a now-deleted Facebook post.

The pair put their relationship on hold in 2017 but got back together a year later and are most likely still together. Carmela also posted about Raber's new book on 29 December 2021.

Kids 

Raber was previously married to his ex-wife Naomi Stutzman, with whom he has two daughters and a son. His children live with their mother in Ohio, and Raber doesn't have a close relationship with them.

In February 2011, Stutzman filed for divorce, citing "extreme cruelty" and "gross neglect of duty." In 2019, Stutzman accused Raber of not paying child support on schedule. Naomi accused her ex-husband of owing over $10,000 in child support. She allegedly uploaded a screenshot of Raber owing her money on Facebook in the Breaking Amish and Return to Amish fan groups.

In response, Raber also accused Naomi of not informing her about their son's accident. "You never bothered to tell me that my son was life-flighted due to a UTV rollover that pinned him underneath. We had to find out 5 days later thru an anonymous caller!!! You want to play this way?!?!? You got it. Listen you motherf***ers... now it's my turn," he wrote in a now-deleted post.
