Jennifer Reyna is an American journalist who currently serves as a traffic expert at CBS affiliate KHOU in Houston, Texas. She formerly worked at NBC affiliate KPRC-TV.
Who is Jennifer Reyna?
Jennifer Reyna is a business double major graduate from the University of Houston. She was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She comes from a military family, where her father was Air Force, her grandfathers were Navy and Marines, and her cousin serves in the U.S. Army.
Reyna began her professional career in local radio at KLOL 101FM in Houston, Texas, in January 2004. After working there for a year, she temporarily moved to Los Angeles, California, where she debuted her television career at KABC and worked behind the scenes.
After a brief stint at KABC, she returned to Houston, Texas, and kicked off her career at NBC-affiliate KPRC-TV as a traffic reporter in July 2006. She spent more than 13 years at KPRC-TV, doing field reporting, covering morning traffic. She also anchored the KPRC 2 News Midday. Then in October 2019, she left KPRC-TV after her new contract negotiations fell through, according to a statement written by KPRC-TV's general manager Jerry Martin, posted on the TV station's website.
Furthermore, Reyna worked as a traffic reporter for KSBJ Radio for over five years, from December 2007 to October 2013. In addition, she hosted a call center following Hurricane Ike in September 2008, offering words of comfort and assisting callers in finding vital supplies to survive the immediate aftermath of the tropical cyclone.

Lone Survivor Foundation
In 2021, Reyna also became a brand ambassador for the Lone Survivor Foundation. The foundation focuses on helping combat veterans to fight post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). On her fundraising page on the foundation's website, she divulged the importance of appreciating combat veterans' service and providing necessary resources and tools for military men and women to return home. She also wrote that she stands by the people and the programs that help veterans.
