Tupac was killed in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas in 1996. However, the individuals who carried out the shooting were never apprehended; therefore, the incident remains a mystery.

Tupac’s Girlfriend and Daughter

It is known publicly that Tupac did not have any children, although he was married in the past. He married his girlfriend Keisha Morris on 29 April 1995, just months before his death. The rapper was serving a sentence for sexual abuse at the time. The couple had always intended to start a family, but they separated shortly before Tupac’s demise.

Keisha later revealed to Source magazine that Tupac had chosen names he wanted to name their daughter Star and their son, Michelangelo. “Tupac picked out names he wanted to move to Arizona and name our Daughter Star and our son Michelangelo. I liked Star but not Michelangelo, we tried to have kids but the weed that Tupac smoked affected us. Tupac also had visions of our future.”

He later dated Quincy Jones’ daughter Kidada Jones until his demise in 1996. According to The Blast, the couple was even engaged months before his untimely death.

“Tupac was the love of my life,” Kadida said in her father’s autobiography. “He and I lived together for four months and then he was murdered… It was the most horrible thing that ever happened to me.”

About Tupac Shakur

Born on 16 June 1971, Tupac Shakur in Harlem, New York, was an American rapper and actor. He grew to epitomize the 1990s gangsta-rap culture and became a noble struggle icon after his killing. Tupac is recognized as one of the best-selling artists of all time, with 75 million albums sold to date.

Tupac was known as a defiant with a cause throughout his professional career. He expressed the struggles and injustices that many African Americans faced in day-to-day life. His ability to do so also made him a representative for his generation and future generations.

In 1991, he landed his first movie role in Nothing But Trouble and even published his first album titled Beginnings: The Lost Tapes. But, as gangsta rap grew in popularity, he molded himself into a stricter individual—so that no one would doubt the authenticity of his words.

Tupac’s follow-up albums, Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z... released in 1993 and Me Against the World released in 1995, were both critically and commercially successful. Since Tupac’s death, five more albums have been published, all of which were certified Platinum in the USA.

Beyond the music, Tupac had a lot of success as a movie actor, with parts including Bishop in Juice (1992), Lucky in Poetic Justice (1993), Ezekiel in Gridlock’d (1997), and Jake in Gang Related (1997).

In 1995, he was sentenced to eight months in jail for sexual harassment. But he was released after he accepted joining the hands with Marion “Suge” Knight’s Death Row Records company in exchange for Knight posting his bail. Following his release, he got significantly engaged in the budding East Coast–West Coast hip hop rivalry.

Tupac Shakur’s Death

On 7 September 1986, Tupac was shot four times in the back by an unknown assailant in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada. Shakur was shot twice in the chest, once in the arm, and once in the thigh by four.40 caliber bullets fired from a Glock pistol. He was then taken to a nearby hospital, but he died six days later, and the shooter was never apprehended. He was 25 years old at the time.

According to a Los Angeles Times investigation, reluctant witnesses and a lack of follow-up on gang-related evidence resulted in an unsolved murder trial.
