Jamie Sue Gangel is an American television news reporter who began her broadcast journalism career in 1978 as an assignment editor for Washington, D.C.-based WJLA-TV. She also worked for the news radio station WTOP AM, a CBS affiliate in Washington. Gangel then began working as a general assignment reporter and substitute anchor for Miami-based television station WPLG-TV in 1982.

Gangel provided some of the first reports from New York on the 11 September 2001 attacks, including confirmation that a plane had hit the Pentagon and the CIA office had been evacuated.

Jamie Sue Gangel was born in 1955 in New York City. She is 66 years as of 2021. She earned the B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University's Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service in 1977. In 1976, she enrolled at Harvard University to study international economics.
