Jamie Deen is an American restaurateur, chef, and TV personality, best known as the host of Food Network's reality show, 'Road Tasted.' He is also well recognized as the eldest son of American celebrity chef Paula Deen.

Who is Jamie Deen?

Jamie Deen is an entrepreneur, chef, television star, and author. He earned his recognition and fame as the host of his own Food Network show, Road Tasted. He started the show in July 2006 alongside his brother, Bobby Deen. Jamie and Bobby ran the show for one season and then stopped to focus on their family restaurant in Savannah, The Lady & Sons.

Later in 2012, Jamie again appeared on another cooking show, Home for Dinner with Jamie Deen. The show featured Jamie's entire family, including his mother Paula Deen, brother Bobby Deen, wife Brooke, and sons Matthew and Jack Deen. It aired on the Food Network channel.

Besides TV shows and running restaurants, Jamie Deen is also an author. Some of his published works include 'The Deen Bros Cookbook,' 'Y'all Come Eat,' 'The Deen Bros: All in the Family,' and 'Get Fired Up.' 

His book, 'From Mama's Table to Mine' was New York Times' #1 best-selling book in 2013.

James Linton Deen Jr. was born on 29 June 1967 in Albany, Georgia, to parents Paula Deen and Jimmy Deen, as their first son. As of 2021, he is 54 years old. He also has a younger brother Bobby. The Deen brothers grew up in Savannah with their celebrity chef mother, Paula.

Growing up, Jamie worked at his mother's restaurant, The Lady & sons. He delivered food and served the customers. Later, he became the co-owner of the restaurant alongside his mother and brother.

TV career

Jamie debuted on TV on his mother's show, Paula's Home Cooking, in 2005. He appeared on the show until 2008. Since then, Jamie went to appear on several other shows like Paula's Party from 2007 to 2008, Paula's Best Dishes from 2009 to 2013, The Chew from 2013 to 2015, Home for Dinner with Jamie Deen from 2012 to 2013, and his most recent Southern Fried Trip in 2015.

Jamie had also made guest appearances on multiple TV reality shows and talk shows. His notable presence includes The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Good Morning America, Dear Food Network, Fox and Friends, and many more.

The duo went out for their first date in January 2004 and eventually tied knots in March 2005. The couple share three sons - Jack, Mathew, and Davis Deen.

Jamie and Brooke gave birth to their first child, Jack Linton, on 21 August 2006. They welcomed their second son Matthew James Deen on 18 May 2011 and their third son, Davis Deen, on 12 April 2020.
