Jack Sullivan Rudd is the eldest of two children of the actor, comedian, producer, and screenwriter Paul Rudd. Paul is most recognized for his role as Scott Lang in the Marvel films Ant-Man (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
Early Life and Education
Jack Sullivan Rudd was born on 20 April 2006 in the United States to Paul Rudd and Julie Yaeger. He has one younger sibling, a sister named Darby Rudd.
Sullivan's Pub
Jack's father, Paul, has an Irish pub named Sullivan's, named after Jack's middle name Sullivan. In an interview with New York Magazine in June 2010, Paul said that when Jack was born, Jack's grandfather, Michael Rudd, wanted to gift his grandson an Irish pub.
According to Irish Post, in December 2019, Michael, a former historical tour guide, decided to celebrate the birth of his grandson by building his grandson his own Irish pub. He hoped that his grandson would later appreciate his hard work. Michael started constructing the Irish-themed pub in the basement of his Kansas City home and naming it Sullivan's.
In due course, Paul's work forced him to move to Rhinebeck in New York. According to Paul, his father, Michael, was supposed to relocate to the Rhinebeck house and construct the new version of Sullivan's in the Rhinebeck home. Tragically, Michael died of throat cancer before the pub could be finished. To honor his father's legacy, Paul materialized his father's dream bar in his basement. Paul had to hire contractors to construct the pub and completed it in a year. Paul told the Irish Sun in October 2019 that he has Guinness on tap. Sullivan's also has another tap for a darker beer called Tank 7, which comes from a brewery in his Kansas City home.
