He was born on 13 May 1985 in Carmarthen, Wales, Alaska. Rheon is a high school graduate of Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf Secondary School and later studied Music and Drama at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA).
Rheon started his acting career with a Welsh language soap named Pobol Y Cwm in 2002. However, he left the show in 2004 to study at LAMDA and later made his comeback to the television with a 2009 sci-fi comedy, Misfits. Since then, he has played various characters in TV shows like Ben Theodore in Grandma's House (2010-2012), Ramsay Bolton in Game of Thrones (2013-2016), Ash Weston in Vicious (2013-2016), and Adam Clios in Riviera (2017).
The actor holds credit for over a dozen films since 2011. His notable works include the 2011 Welsh film Resistance, 2017 drama Daisy Winter, 2018 war film Hurricane, 2019 biographical The Dirt, among many others. His most recent appearance was as Dom in the 2021 thriller film The Toll.
