She made her film debut in the indie film Not Just Yet (2004), and her first television appearance was in the TV series Starved (2005), opposite Sterling K. Brown. She later appeared in notable the television shows Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, All My Children, and How to Make It in America.
Victor also had guest roles in the soap opera Guiding Light and TV show Prime Suspect. However, after relocating to Los Angeles, she landed major roles in hit television shows such as Mad Men, Private Practice, Grey's Anatomy, and Castle. She also had recurring and lead roles in several television shows, including The Young and the Restless, Unicorn Plan-It, Vegas (three episodes in 2013), and Issa Rae's The Choir (8 episodes in 2013).
