Gavy Friedson started his professional career in the Israeli defense forces. He was an infantry soldier from 2007 to 2009 and defense's spokesperson from 2009 to 2010.

Gavriel Friedson was born on 30 December 1988 in Florida, Miami. His family moved to Israel when he was 10 years old. Thereafter, he continued his studies in Israel.
Friedson studied bachelor's degree in communications and media studies from Reichman University (ISC Herzliya) between 2011 and 2014. In 2014, he joined Tel Aviv University and graduated in 2015 with a master of public health (MPH) degree in crisis/emergency/disaster management.
