Friedson made headlines in 2017, after saving a ten-year-old boy from seizures while on a lecture in Wyoming. He was on the Hatzalah's Road Show for Life Lecture Tour with a regional representative. The team informed that a plane was making an emergency landing in that region because of a medical emergency. After hearing the news, he volunteered with the paramedics to aid the child while being transported to the hospital.


Gravy Friedson is an emergency medicine expert. He is also well-recognized as the husband of FOX News political commentator Katie Pavlich.

Who is Gavy Friedson?

Friedson was born in the United States. He was raised and educated in Israel. Friedson holds a bachelor's degree in Communications and Media Studies from Reichman University and a Master of Public Health degree from Tel Aviv University.

He briefly worked at the Israeli defense forces from 2007 to 2010. There, he was a public speaker and spokesperson for Our Soldiers Speak and Sunshine Sachs.

In 2008, he joined the medical service agency United Hatzalah of Israel, where he worked as an EMT, First Responder, and International Spokesperson. Eventually, in 2016 he became the Deputy Director of International Operations. From 2020, Friedson has been working as the Director of International Emergency Management and Global Ambassador.

He married his longtime girlfriend, FOX News political journalist and author, Katie Pavlich, in 2017. 

Early Life and Education

Gavriel Friedson was born on 30 December 1988 in Florida, Miami. His family moved to Israel when he was 10 years old. Thereafter, he continued his studies in Israel.

Friedson studied bachelor's degree in Communications and Media Studies from Reichman University (ISC Herzliya) between 2011 and 2014. In 2014, he joined Tel Aviv University and graduated in 2015 with a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management.

Career

Friedson served at the Israeli defense forces for more than two months. He was an infantry soldier from 2007 to 2009 and defense's spokesperson from 2009 to 2010.

After that, he briefly worked in New York. He was one of the public speakers for Our Soldiers Speak and also interned at Sunshine Sachs from 2010 to 2011. From 2011 to 2012, Friedson worked as a media associate at Set Public Relations, Tel Aviv.

Further, in 2008, Friedson began working at the non-profit, independent emergency medical service agency, United Hatzalah of Israel. He was an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), First Responder, and International Spokesperson from 2008 to 2016. He also worked as the special assistant to the President of the organization, a spokesperson who briefed important dignitaries and conducted press conferences during high casualty events. For his contribution to the city of Jerusalem, he was given a 'Special Award' by the Mayor of Jerusalem.

Subsequently, in 2016, he was promoted to Deputy Director of International Operations and again as the Director of International Emergency Management and United Hatzalah of Israel's Global Ambassador in 2020.
