He began to play the role when he was 12, but Lewis looked tiny for his age. The series focused on the story of a newly married couple who found that the husband’s best friend had died and was left as the caregiver of his son, Webster.
Besides Webster, Lewis also appeared in different shows such as Family Matters, Moesha, and Malcolm & Eddie. He received another big break in the 2003 series The Surreal Life. Lewis can also be seen in the 1985 TV movie Lost in London alongside Ben Vareen and the 1995 TV movie The New Adventures of Mother Goose Special alongside Sally Struthers.

Lewis followed his friend’s suggestion and was signed by the Schuller Talent Agency as soon as the agency members saw him. As a result, he started getting many opportunities to work in different commercials for products like coffee, toys, pudding, pizza, burger, and many more. From 1989 to 1997, he attended Clark Atlanta University to earn a degree in Theatre Arts.

Lewis started his record label, Flex Floss Entertainment, in Fayetteville, Georgia. The label consumes most of his time now.
