Emily Roeske is known for her role as Sophie Piper in the movie series ‘Halloweentown’ from 1998 to 2004. She left the film business after the series' third installment. However, in March 2021, on the occasion of Women's Day, Roeske announced her comeback to acting via Instagram post.

Roeske began acting from the age of six. She acted in the film Fell's Redeemer in 1997 while also appeared in the movie Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain in 1998. Then she landed the role of Sophie Piper in Halloweentown. After that, Roeske played the part of the younger sister of Marine. She also revived the role in its sequels, Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge (2001) and Halloweentown High (2004). However, she retired after the third installment in 2004.

After that, she continued with public schooling, and she went on to attain a black belt in second-degree American freestyle karate. She also taught mixed martial arts in Arizona as a certified personal trainer.

But in 2021, on the occasion of Women's Day, Roeske announced her comeback into acting.

Emily Roeske was born on 15 July 1991 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as Emily Marie Roeske. She began acting from a young age while holding a black belt in second-degree American freestyle karate.

Acting Career

Roeske made her acting debut in 1997 from the role of Alicia in the movie Fell's Redeemer. The following year, she appeared as a little girl in the 1998 movie Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain

In the same year, Roeske then landed the role of Sophie Piper in the TV movie Halloweentown. The movie was about a young girl, Marine Piper, who discovers that she has supernatural powers like a witch. And also that she needs to control her powers to rescue her family from evil. Roeske played the role of Sophie, Marine's younger sister. And she was only seven years old when she played that role.

Then in 1999, she appeared as Michelle Kinney in the series ER. And in 2001, she revived the role of Sophie Piper in the movie series Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge. Subsequently, in 2004 Roeske made her last movie appearance in the television movie Halloweentown High. After that, she announced her retirement from acting.

Martial Arts

After retiring from acting, Roeske became a martial arts coach. She taught mixed martial arts at Surprise Family Martial Arts in Surprise, Arizona. She has also coached at Demo teams, and she had attained the Personal Trainer License. In addition, she has a 5th Degree Black Belt in American Freestyle Karate. Further, Roeske has been awarded as Outstanding Instructor American Karate Assoc. 1989, top ten nationally ranked forms competitor and Pro. Karate Assoc. Instructor of the Year 1993.

Comeback to Acting

In March 2021, on the occasion of Women's Day, Roeske announced her comeback to acting. Sharing the good news to her fans, Roeske wrote, "From playing an iconic role in Disney Channel's Halloweentown and becoming a national karate champion as a young girl, to leaving the limelight behind. Facing struggles and adversity, becoming a mother and eventually meeting my soulmate... I've learned a lot about myself as a woman. I learned how freaking strong we are!" She also expressed her gratitude towards her followers for constantly supporting her on her journey. "I am truly grateful and so excited to share with you where this next chapter leads me. Come along!" she added.

Husband & Children

Roeske exchanged wedding vows with Mitch Chapman on 21 April 2013. They had a daughter together, Evie Marie. However, on 4 July 2021, she posted a family portrait with her significant other (Jacob Arellano), not Chapman, and her four children: two sons and two daughters. She has not publicized further information on her personal life.
