'My Child and Other Mistakes'

Taylor is the author of The Sunday Times best-selling book 'My Child and Other Mistakes' published in 2021. In the book, she incorporated the funny side of motherhood and its 'grisly delights.'

On her Instagram, she revealed that one of the main reasons she wrote the book was to express that it is possible to love one's baby while simultaneously hating the newborn a little bit. She wrote her personal experiences of motherhood and explored her decision to have a baby when not liking babies—followed by post-apocalyptic newborn days, childcare work, and the impact of childbirth on her life, love, and body.

Husband

Taylor married to Australian CNN Reported Phil Black in 2015. They were together for a while before they got married.

Motherhood

Taylor and her husband Phil Black had their first child Valentina on 28 November 2018. In an interview with Dailymail, she revealed that she suffered from multiple birth problems even when her newborn was healthy.

She further added that she went through an elective cesarean which was painful enough for her to walk. She stated that giving birth to her daughter felt like "...a grenade was lifted out of my body...You're dealing with this physical trauma and a newborn, and my mind sort of collapsed. It was the most intense experience I had ever been through."

As of 2022, her daughter is three years old. In an interview with The Irish News, she said that her love could be suffocating and clingy for her daughter. She also added that there were added tolls on her mental health from motherhood. She said, "I think, at every turn, I have underestimated or misunderstood or perhaps just predicted completely incorrectly how big motherhood would be. There were days where I thought I had lost myself forever. It felt like my life was haunted. The scariest place I've ever known was my bedroom at night when it was just me and the baby, when you feel like you're the only person awake in the whole wide world."
