Who is Dylan Moses?

Dylan Moses is a National Football League (NFL) linebacker for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is identified as being the linebacker who has handled all three linebacker spots. He initially got attention when one of his videos running through a local minor league game arose at nine years old. However, he gained more recognition when Louisiana State University (LSU) proposed him as an eighth-grader.

Early Life and Education

Dylan Moses was born on 25 May 1998. He grew up playing football in Alabama. When he was seven years old, he was strolling through a park and got to see his first Pop Warner session. He was enamored with the game. After soliciting for several days, Edward Moses, Jr., his father who had been a linebacker at Northwestern State and played in the Arena League for a brief period, belatedly acknowledged his son to play.

His mother, Tomeka Murray, didn’t realize her son had the drive to make football his profession until junior high. Murray insisted she only acknowledged her son’s athletic aptitude and potential when she discerned she could use ‘sport’ as a trick to threaten him in the obligatory times.

High School Career

Moses secured his initial scholarship offer at 14 by his hometown club. He also happened to be the program’s youngest recruit ever to get a scholarship. In the prior decade, he had also been regarded as the best single talent in the Baton Rouge region. Moses began his high school years at University High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, before he shifted to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, for his senior year in 2016. He was a linebacker and a running back for the team.

Despite his groundbreaking recruitment process, Moses concisely committed to play college football at Louisiana State University before assigning to the University of Alabama as he pledged in 2013. He was sworn the Parade Magazine’s National Player of the Year while meriting the Butkus Award as a senior.

Moses rose to prominence at a young age, appearing on the front page of ESPN The Magazine as a 15-year-old. He was scouted by extensive programs long before he graduated from high school. In his senior year, he was an All-SEC pick by Southeastern Conference coaches, beginning the Crimson Tide in tackles with 80, 6.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 interferences, three pass breakups, and a forced fumble and first turnover.

College Career

Moses was designated at Tuscaloosa, Alabama, in January 2017 to have a jumpstart. He competed in 11 games as a rookie for the national champions, marking 30 tackles, 5.5 for loss, 1.5 sacks, and one interception grasping him SEC All-Freshman team honors.

Unfortunately, Moses incurred a foot injury in the College Football Playoff semifinals. “It was a broken foot,” he said. “I tried to come back in time for the Georgia game. It was just too soon.” Attributable to an injured foot, he was incapable of participating in the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship and the 2018 Sugar Bowl.
