Donald Drake Hogestyn was born on 29 September 1953 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is 68 years old as of 2021. 

Hogestyn graduated from the North Side High School. He then attended the University of South Florida in Tampa on a baseball scholarship and graduated with a double major in Microbiology and Applied Sciences. 

Career 

Hogestyn made his debut in the prime-time series Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Later, he appeared in the CBS series Otherworld. 

In 1985, he appeared as Jack Breed in the TV movie Generation. The same year, he appeared as Red in the TV movie Beverly Hills Cowgirl Blues. But, he rose to fame after he appeared in the 1986 series Days of Our Lives. 

Hogestyn has received many awards during his career, such as the 'Hottest Male Star' in 1994 and 1995. Likewise, he was awarded the 'Favorite Couple' in 1995 and 2005.

Hogestyn is married to his high school girlfriend, Victoria. The two tied the knot on 31 December 1986. The couple has four children, three daughters, and one son. His daughters are Witney, Alexandra, and Rachel, and his son is Ben. Ben Hogestyn is also an actor.
