Following the instructions, Champlin worked on herself and lost 20 pounds. But again, she was asked to take off five more lbs of weight from her body, which went on for several years. Eventually, she got tired of all the commotion around her body weight and decided to stop thinking of it as a problem.
As of today, Champlin embraces all the imperfections of her body and does not stress herself thinking about losing weight or gaining it. Her tweet read, “1st Bway audition was told to lose 11 lbs. Yes...”eleven.” Lost 20 lbs & they told me to “lose five more.” Had that convo off and on for 20+ yrs until I finally went “fuck this shit,” gained 40 lbs & now I’m a series regular on TV.”
