Lee Inosanto was featured as Morgan Elsbeth in the Star Wars franchise TV series 'The Mandalorian' in 2020. The series follows the exploits of a lone bounty hunter in the galaxy, outside the authority of the New Republic. Her character, Morgan Elsbeth, is the leader of Calodan and goes against a former Jedi in search of the secret information she possesses. It was also the only time two female Star Wars characters went head to head on-screen in live-action.

Diana Lee Inosanto is an American actress, writer, martial artist, stuntwoman, and author. She was born in Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance, California, the USA on 29 May 1966. 

She is the daughter of Dan, a martial artist, and Sue Inosanto, and the goddaughter of the late martial artist Bruce Lee. When Bruce Lee passed away in 1973, her family relocated to Harbor City, California, where her father opened his first martial arts school with Richard Bustillo, Lee Inosanto's second godfather. There, she was introduced to Jeet Kune Do, the Filipino disciplines of Kali, Escrima, Panantukan, Silat, Western boxing, kickboxing, Wing Chun, and Western boxing kickboxing and Wing Chun at Filipino Kali Academy.

Lee Inosanto debuted her acting career in the TV series Moonlighting. She appeared on the show for seven episodes from 1986 to 1987.

Since then, Lee Inosanto has been featured in several credits such as Barb Wire (movie 1996), The Time Machine (movie 2002), The Sensei (movie 2008), Hope: The Last Paladin (TV series 2014), The AM Archives (podcast series 2019), The Mandalorian (TV series 2020), and others.

Besides, Lee Inosanto has also performed in the stunts department in films and TV shows like Spy (movie 2015), Lucifer (TV series 2016), The Last Tour (movie 2016), Alita: Battle Angel (movie 2019), and many more.

In an interview with Star Wars in 2021, she talked about her first impression of Star Wars in 1977 and said, "It was a Saturday, everybody had finished the seminar, and there was this new movie with an awesome poster that had just come out, called Star Wars. A group of us went to this small theater, and it was packed. Of course, the moment that the music kicked in, the audience went nuts."

'The Mandalorian'

The Mandalorian is a space Western television drama series created by Jon Favreau. The show was released on 12 November 2019 on Disney+ and has two seasons.

The series follows the exploits of a lone bounty hunter in the galaxy, outside the authority of the New Republic. Lee Inosanto played the role of Magistrate of Calodan Morgan Elsbeth in the thirteenth episode titled 'The Jedi' in season 2. 

She also flaunted her Filipino martial arts heritage on social media after appearing in The Mandalorian season 2. She expressed her gratitude to her father, martial artist Dan Inosanto, by recalling the days when he would teach Filipino martial arts using, of all things, a lightsaber.

Book

Lee Inosanto has been involved in various fields outside of the entertainment industry. Her debut novel, 'The Curious Mind of Sebastian,' was published in 2020. The book is a fictional children's book based on her experiences with her autistic son.

The book is a true story about a mother who is curious about the mysteries of Autism by observing her four-year-old son, Sebastian's odd behavior. Sebastian's inability to express his love verbally led Lee Inosanto on a journey to discover that love will always speak.

Lee Inosanto's personal experiences as a parent, as well as her son Sebastian's illustrations, portray how their lives have been, and continue to be, challenged in unexpected ways. Yet, at the same time, they continue to grow, learn, and love. According to the description, it is a book that reminds them of their unconditional love daily for each other as mother and son.

Husband

Lee Inosanto has been married to her husband Ron Balicki, a martial artist, since 1995. They have one child together. However, Lee Inosanto has another son from a previous relationship, living with Balicki and Lee Inosanto.

Balicki and Lee Inosanto have launched their own production company, Zen Mountain LLC, along with manager Tarik Heitmann.
