'TechCheck' is CNBC's hour-long bi-coastal tech-focused program. Bosa hosts the program on the West Coast, while the channel's journalists and co-anchors Carl Quintanilla and Jon Fortt, host from the East Coast, and senior media and entertainment reporter Julia Boorstin, hosts from Los Angeles.

Deirdre Bosa worked for a couple of multinational mining companies before launching her career on television. She worked in corporate communications at Barrick Gold Corporation in Toronto from August 2007 to September 2008. She then worked as a procurement analyst at Rio Tinto in Shanghai from March 2009 to January 2010.

In August 2010, Bosa joined CCTV News International based in Beijing. She worked there for nearly two years as a reporter, business news editor, and anchor. From September 2011 to June 2012, she served as a contributor to Fox Business Network, where she did Asia market updates for morning shows. 

Her career in CNBC began in 2012. Later, she briefly left the network and worked as a freelance correspondent at Business News Network from September 2014 to December 2014. She rejoined CNBC in January 2015.

Bosa joined CNBC as an anchor and correspondent in July 2012 and covered the markets and economies of Singapore until August 2014. After returning to the network in January 2015, she served as an anchor for four months, reporting from London, United Kingdom. She co-anchored CNBC's several morning programs, including Squawk Box AsiaSquawk Box Europe, and Worldwide Exchange

From May 2015 to September 2016, she served as a contributor for the network, reporting from Vancouver, Canada. In October 2016, she became CNBC's technology correspondent at CNBC's San Francisco Bay Area bureau. As a tech correspondent for CNBC, she covered stories on the topmost corporate companies in the tech industry, including Amazon, Alphabet, Alibaba, Huawei, Airbnb, Uber, and WeWork.

'TechCheck'

In April 2021, Bosa became a co-anchor of CNBC's hour-long bi-coastal tech-focused program TechCheck with three other anchors. Bosa hosts the program on the West Coast, while the channel's journalists and co-anchors Carl Quintanilla and Jon Fortt, host from the East Coast, and senior media and entertainment reporter Julia Boorstin, hosts from Los Angeles. TechCheck premiered on 12 April 2021. The program airs Monday to Friday at 11 AM ET/8 AM PT. 

On 14 October 2021, TechCheck celebrated its six-month anniversary. Bosa was on maternity leave at that time. She returned from maternity leave on 18 October 2021 and reappeared on the program the following day.

Deirdre Bosa's date of birth is not known yet. But, some sites claim that she was born in San Francisco, California, and estimate her to be 36 years as of 2021. Sources also claim that she holds Canadian nationality.

Bosa graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Journalism from The University of Hong Kong. She is also a graduate of McGill University, Montreal, Canada.

Husband and Children

In 2014, Bosa married Darryl Bosa, whom she met in the ex-pat community in Beijing.

Darryl is a chartered financial analyst who oversees private capital at Bosa Properties. He is also the founder of Cmpny Cowork Inc. and Spacekraft coworking space.

The couple has three children. Their third child, Roman Yeats Bosa, was born in 2021, for which Deirdre Bosa took a break from the TechCheck program.
