'Equitrekking'

Newman was the host, writer, editor, and producer of Equitrekking from 2007 to 2014. She pioneered the first television series to explore the world on horseback, establishing a niche genre of equestrian travel as a global phenomenon. In an interview with Paste Travel in 2017, she explained, "While I was working in television in NYC and writing about riding horses around the world, I knew that the Equitrekking concept would make for a great series and Equitrekking was born."

Equitrekking is a two-time 'Emmy Award-Winning' Public Television travel show which first aired on PBS stations in 2007. The show takes audiences worldwide on horseback riding and active adventures with local people to learn about history, culture, and nature. Father

There is not much information regarding Newman's father or her parental bio. However, even though she is rumored to be, she is not related to the late actor Paul Newman.

Husband

Newman got married to Chip Ward, co-founder of DCN, on 17 December 2005. Unfortunately, the couple divorced on 10 April 2019. As they were both the co-owners of DCN Creative, legal issues arose after their split.

On 4 April 2020, Newman filed a complaint against her ex-husband for five domain names, including darleynewman.com, darleynewman.org, equitrekking.com, equitrekking.org, and travelswithdarley.com. Newman stated that Ward has no rights or legitimate interests in the Domain Names, and they should be transferred to her as part of the divorce settlement. After that, Ward counter-claimed that he was still an owner and was never an employee of DCN. He further mentioned that he or his company, Lambda, owned the Domain Names as he registered them. However, Newman's complaint was denied in a decision made on 7 July 2020.

Their case was settled by the Administrative Panel of the World Intellectual Property Arbitration and Mediation Center. Their Marital Settlement Agreement concluded that Ward and Newman were half-owners of the Complainant DCN and its Domain Names.
