Rodel Pacheco Nacianceno, alias Coco Martin, was born and raised in the Philippines. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the National College of Business and Arts.
Martin worked as a janitor for housekeeping in Alberta, Canada, before starting his career in acting. He started in ABS-CBN’s talent agency called Star Magic. Martin debuted acting was in the 2001 film Luv Text, making a cameo appearance as a friend of Ivan (played by Russell C. Mon).
