Chip Kelly is an American Football coach. 

Who is Chip Kelly?

Chip Kelly is an American coach. He was named UCLA’s 17th football head coach in 2017 and has about 30 seasons of coaching experience at the collegiate and professional levels. 

Age 

Chip Kelly was born on 25 November 1963 in Dover, New Hampshire, USA, to Paul and Jean Kelly. He is 57 as of 2021.   

Chip studied at Manchester Central High School. At 20, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education in 1990. Kelly played as quarterback during high school and defensive during college. 

Career 

Kelly started his career as a coach in 1990 at Columbia. During his tenure, he worked as a defensive back and special teams coach. The same year, he became an outside linebacker and strong safeties coach. 

In 1992, he became a running backs coach at his alma mater, New Hampshire. In 1993, he served at John Hopkins as a defensive coordinator. From 1994 to 1996, Kelly returned to New Hampshire to work as a running backs coach. From 1997 to 1998, Kelly worked as an outside linebackers coach, and from 1999 to 2006, he was an offensive coordinator. 

In 2007, Kelly began working as an offensive coordinator at Oregon and eventually became the head coach from 2009 to 2012. 

In 2013, he became the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. During his career, Kelly won two-time ‘Pac-10 Coach of the Year,’ and has also won ‘Coach of the Year’ honors from the Associated Press and Sporting News.

Chip Kelly was married to Jennifer Jenkins. The couple tied the knot in 1992. Unfortunately, the marriage ended in 1999. 

Currently, Kelly is dating Jill Cohen. There is not much information on Cohen. However, she visits many of Kelly’s games. She is an alumnus of the University of Oregon, and the two have been together since 2015. 

House 

Chip Kelly sold his home in Encino, California, to Mookie Betts for $7.6 million. It is a 9,267 square feet property. The house has nine bedrooms and ten bathrooms. It also has a theatre room along with a basketball court.
