Born on 27 July 1990, Bridey Elliott (birth name Bridget Elliott) grew up in Wilton, Connecticut, with her sister, actress, and SNL alum Abby Elliott.
Bridey is the daughter of another Saturday Night Live (SNL) alum, comedian, actor, and writer Chris Elliott and Late Night with David Letterman's talent coordinator Paula Niedert Elliott.
Her grandfather, Bob Elliott, was yet another famous face in the American comedy scene. He was a veteran radio comedian, actor, and member of the famed comedy duo Bob & Ray. Bob appeared on SNL's 1978-79 Christmas episode alongside his comedy duo partner, Ray Goulding. Chris was a cast member of SNL in 1994-45, and Abby joined the crew from 2008 to 2012.
Bridey lost her grandfather Bob Elliott on 2 February 2016. He was suffering from throat cancer and died in his home, Cundy's Harbor, Maine, at 92. Bob was the other half of the famous comedy duo, Bob & Ray.
Bridey studied playwriting and acting at the National Theater Institute, Connecticut, in 2011. She also studied filmmaking at Brooklyn College, New York, while performing sketch and stand-up at the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) Theatre and working at Kim's Video and Music, a popular store in Manhattan known as a starting ground for filmmakers of the future.
Bridey moved to LA from New York for a while to work as a production assistant. However, she gave up the job after realizing that she was a horrible driver and had put several people in danger. Thus, she returned to New York and continued with stand-ups and sketches. Apart from that, she's also worked at the Paley Center and the Film Forum.
