Brad Mondo is a YouTuber well known for his 'Hairdresser Reacts' video series on social media.

Who is Brad Mondo?

Brad Mondo is an American hairstylist, entrepreneur, social media personality, and YouTuber. He initially started his YouTube journey at 12; however, it didn't go as planned. Later, he worked as a sales associate at Calvin Klein for several months when he was 16 years old. 

After his failed first attempt, he decided to pursue YouTube as a genuine profession a decade later. Mondo then created his self entitled YouTube account on 28 April 2015 at 22. The channel has over 7.27 million subscribers, 403 videos, and 1.1 billion total views as of December 2021. 

His famous videos include hair makeovers, hacks, reaction videos, and haircut tutorials with millions of views on the platform. However, his most popular video to date is titled 'HAIRDRESSER REACTS TO JOJO SIWA RUNNING HER HAIR FOR 11 MINUTES STRAIGHT.' The video was released on 7 October 2018 and has gained over 22 million views and 554k likes as of 2021. 

Besides YouTube, Mondo is also famous on TikTok and Instagram. He has a fan following of 8.6 million and over 227 million likes on TikTok and 2 million followers on Instagram as of this writing. 

In 2021, Mondo was named the 'Hair Influencer of the Year' by the 'American Influencer Award.'

Brad Mondo was born in Franklin, MA, in 1994. Mondo celebrates his birthday on 28 October every year, and as of 2021, he is 27 years old. 

Mondo grew up alongside his brother and his family in Massachusetts.

Xmondo Hair Bio

Mondo is the founder and CEO of Xmondo, an online store that sells hair products. He grew up in the hair industry, following his late father's footsteps as a salon owner and stylist. Mondo mentioned that his father's suggestions centered on running a business and making money. He also had many people in his life who worked at the salon that taught him about hair color basics.

Furthermore, Mondo experimented with every hair care and color and slowly turned the passion into an obsession. It prompted him to design his own products that enclosed everything he stands for. 

In an interview with Insider in 2020, Mondo mentioned that starting his hair products has been exciting and challenging. "Quarantine definitely boosted sales because people are doing hair themselves now, and it's been really awesome. I'm lucky in that way. It's also been difficult," he added.

Is Brad Mondo Gay?

Mondo came out as gay at the age of 16 and explained what it was like for him in his video titled 'MY COMING OUT STORY,' released on 22 March 2018. 

In the video, Mondo stated he told his close friends in high school he was bisexual, not because he wanted to hide it, but because he wasn't sure if he was gay. Mondo revealed that he never disliked women and also had a girlfriend. 

However, he later hung out with an older gay man who helped him recognize his sexual orientation. Mondo also shared the unpleasant experience when that man revealed he was gay to the rest of the school. 

Furthermore, Mondo has always supported the LGBTIQ+ community and has advised that those who spread hate against them be educated.

Is His Brother Also a Gay? 

Mondo's brother Eric Mondo has never revealed his sexuality. However, his advocacy for the LGBTQIA+ community fueled speculation that he is gay. Moreover, Eric used the hashtag #gaycation for his post on 26 August 2018, which further boosted his rumors of being gay. 

Besides that, Eric posted a picture with a lady named Liz Viruete on Valentine's Day 2017 with the caption, "My date." In the same post, Viruete commented saying, "My Prince Charming." However, he has never spoken about it.
